Daibutsu Kiritoshi

Street
One of the Seven Entrances to Kamakura, ancient passes carved into mountain ridges to create passages to the city. The entrance to this old road is along Hase-dori Avenue a little ways past the Kamakura Daibutsu (in the Kotoku-in Temple). The road also connects to the Kuzuharaoka Daibutsu hiking course. The fire lookout, built into the bare rock, exudes an aura of long history and is worth hiking up to see.
