This is an old Japanese teahouse established in 1968, around a five-minute walk from the entrance of Komachi-dori Street from Kamakura Station. Rebuilt in 2011, it nevertheless retains the calm and refined atmosphere of the time. The most popular choice is “cream anmitsu” (syrup-covered bean jam) where one can choose ice cream topped with vanilla or matcha powdered tea. The “Ogura Shiratama,” where one can eat many freshly-made doughy shiratama (rice dumplings) is another popular option.

粉汁子を提供する貴重な店

粉汁子は手間がかかるので大抵の甘味処は粒あんぜんざいのみです。そんな時世にもめげず心をこめた粉汁粉は我が家の冬の定番です。ただお店の主人が体力的にきついので止めることも考えているそうですから早めにどうぞ。

9月なのに暑くて、涼むために店へ。親子3人でかき氷を3つ注文。小倉抹茶かき氷は抹茶シロップが甘すぎず美味。いちごかき氷はどこで食べても一緒でした。氷も普通の氷で特筆するものはありません。ただ、気になったのは年配（女性。オーナー？）の店員がカップル客に一人一品の注文を強要していたことです。そうであれば店の前に張り紙をするなど対応をしないとリピートしないと思います。店員の気持ちは分からないでもないで...

鎌倉の寺社を半日回ったあと、小町通りから鎌倉駅に戻る途中で寄りました。香ばしいお餅が美味しい御膳汁粉をいただき、一息ついて、疲れを癒すことができました。こじんまりしたお店で、優しい雰囲気が漂っています。
