Kamakura Kamameshi Kamakama Main Store

Other Japanese Food
This is a kamameshi (rice, meat and vegetables served in a small pot) specialist in a spot just a three-minute walk from Kamakura Station. They normally offer over 30 varieties of kamameshi made with carefully selected ingredients. The shirasu (young sardines) are particularly popular, often creating a queue during holidays. A rare treat is the ochazuke (rice with green tea poured in) with their specially-made dashi (soup stock).
