A nostalgic half-day walking tour around exotic Miyanoshita in Hakone

Miyanoshita, the third station on the Hakone Tozan Train from Hakone Yumoto, is an area recommended for visitors who have been to Hakone before and a place where you can take a leisurely walk away from the hustle and bustle of the hot spring town. The once-state-of-the-art hot spring town was crowded with many overseas visitors during the Meiji period, but now offers a charming, nostalgic atmosphere on its remaining retro streets and architecture.   To get to Miyanoshita, head out from the Hakone Yumoto station on the Hakone Tozan rail line. On the way, you'll experience the zig zag or switchback, where the train switches rails to change directions.
