A little farther away from the train station, the bar is relatively quiet with mostly locals taking up the space on the bar stools. Local musicians play a variety of traditional American jazz to Latin American music and sometimes the owner participates on the piano. The charge for live gigs is affordable, ranging from 1,500 yen to 2,100 yen depending on how large the band is. Another perk, Manhattan Jazz Bar is one of rare places in Tokyo that does not allow smoking.
