If you’re traveling to Wakayama City from Osaka, probably the fast way to get there is by booking a ticket on the Kuroshio Express train. The train runs about once every hour. It stops at Shin-Osaka Station and Tennoji Station and rides on the train are covered by the Japan Rail Pass, which you should purchase if you plan on doing a lot of train travel in Japan. The World Heritage Ticket is also good for two consecutive days.
