If you’re feeling more adventurous ask the staff about the Kinugawa River Cruise tours. Here visitors can immerse themselves in the beauty of the local ravine as skillful oarsmen steer the boat through the rapids. This opportunity runs during the warmer months from the middle of April until mid November. If you want to try steering yourself, try the NAOC Canyoneering. NAOC was the first company in Tochigi to introduce rafting and canyoneering as an exciting new way to explore the area. Beyond just battling the rapids, NAOC provides a variety of other outdoor activities, including canyoning, trekking, skiing, and snowboarding.
