One of the main draws to the eastern part of Hokkaido is its rural, untouched landscapes, however, an obvious downside to this is its inaccessibility. Although less convenient than public transport around big cities, it’s still possible to get around Eastern Hokkaido as a tourist, whether hiring your own car or jumping on the bus.
