Even though it’s dense, Roppongi can definitely be done properly in a single day, though if you want to spend a lot of time in galleries and museums you might want to spread out your time if you are staying nearby. Otherwise, you can have
-
1) It goes without saying that you should go to Roppongi Hills, and it’s a great place to start the day with some shopping and checking out the Mori Art Museum. It’s hard to say whether you should go for the view during the day or at night, but the Roppongi City View at the top of the tower gives you a phenomenal look at all of Tokyo. You might even be able to see Mt. Fuji in the colder months.
2) If lunch with a view is your thing you can have it in Roppongi Hills as well, or make your way down to ground level where there’s an endless selection of restaurants catering to the many people who live and work in the area. This is a good chance to explore some backstreets and find a place that suits you.- Roppongi Hills

3) After lunch, the National Art Museum is well worth a look, and always has a new exhibition going on. It’s also free to enter, so there’s no risk in checking it out, though certain exhibitions may have a fee. It’s also a perfect place to sit and have a coffee inside of the atrium, admiring the building design and doing some people-watching.

4) Head over to Tokyo Midtown and explore the building, but don’t miss going to 21_21 Design Site which is behind the main complex. You’ll be able to see the latest exhibition, always incorporating something about design (of course).

5) Grab dinner at a place on Imoarai-zaka (famous for it’s more lively eateries), and then make your way towards Tokyo Tower for a night view of the city. You can walk, though it’s a bit far, but better to take a quick taxi or jump on the Oedo line to Akabanebashi to get there.
