1) No need to get up at 5am to see the tuna auction. Just get down to Tsukiji at breakfast time (earlier the better though), walk around the market area, and find a place for sushi that isn’t too busy. You can even just get something pre-made and eat right there on the street if you want to keep moving!
2) If you’re going to walk down Harumi-dori to Ginza, this is a great time to stop by the Kabuki-za on the way and pick up some same day tickets to see one act of a kabuki performance. The performance will be later in the day most likely so you can play things by ear.

If you go left you’ll go to the main shopping area and towards the Hama Rikyu Tei-en garden, but that’s still quite a long walk down Chuo-dori. If you go right you’ll head towards shopping as well. Continue straight and you’ll go to Yurakucho.

5) Spend the day going up and down the side streets of Ginza, checking out brand flagship stores and the newer department stores popping up. Dover Street Market in particular is a popular spot for unique items.

6) For dinner, try going to the Tokyu Plaza building and find a place with a view of the area. You’ll find all kinds of food here, and it’s a good place to wrap up the day. Otherwise, Ginza Corridor has a lively atmosphere and a great local vibe. Have some drinks, sit outside, and enjoy the festive atmosphere.
