During the daytime, Shibuya is all about shopping and music. At night, however, it turns into one of Tokyo’s craziest party towns. You can find everything from tiny bars that only seat a handful of customers to entertainment centers that offer all night games and activities.

Nonbei Yokocho
Nonbei Yokocho, or Drunkards’ Alley, is a cramped cluster of tiny, intimate restaurants/bars, many with a maximum capacity of 6-10. Much of Tokyo looked like this after the war, though there just a handful of such streets still remaining today. Because of that, the area is cherished as one of the few remaining traditional areas of the city.

Club Area
Tokyo has a very small, tightknit underground house and techno scene, much of which is focused on Shibuya. Womb is one of the long time staples bringing in international talent from Europe and the States, as well as smaller venues like Module, Unit, and Oath. For more mainstream fare, like EDM or hip hop, Club Asia is another long running option.
