  • Nishiura Onsen
    Aichi Gamagori-shi Nishiuracho Oyama
    A hot spring village situated on the tip of the Nishiura Peninsula, an area known as a top destination for marine sports and ocean fishing. A picturesque place beloved by poets since ancient times and appearing in the ancient Man'yoshu poetry anthology, one of its biggest attractions is its beautiful location offering a 360 view of Mikawa Bay. The area's colorless alkaline simple springs are said to aid recovery from fatigue and promote health in addition to alleviating muscle soreness, frozen shoulders, chronic digestive diseases, chronic women's diseases, and sensitivity to cold. Also one of the top areas in the country for Japanese littleneck clams, the district bustles with throngs of people come to enjoy clamming at the beginning of spring.

  • Kira Onsen
    Aichi Nishio-shi Kiracho Miyazaki Chinai
    The curative waters of this hot spring district in the Miyazaki area have been known since the Meiji period but it wasn't until the late 1950s and early 1960s that a proper hot spring town area emerged here. The district's stunning scenery, commanding a view of the ocean, has made it highly popular; visitors can also enjoy an abundance of ocean leisure activities here. The waters of the district's chloride springs are said to treat such ailments as nerve pain, muscle soreness, sensitivity to cold, and fatigue. Many of the hotels, ryokan inns, and other lodging facilities in the district have outdoor baths with a view of the sea; at some establishments, you can even enjoy a hot spring bath while dining on the seafood fresh from Mikawa Bay. There are also many sightseeing destinations in the area, such as the Konrenji Temple's Midado pavilion, a National Treasure and the oldest wooden structure in the prefecture; the Former Konoe Residence, a grand estate which once belonged to the noble Konoe family from Kyoto; and numerous other famous historic sites, shrines, and temples. In addition, an abundance of festivals and other events are held here throughout the year.

  • Miya Onsen
    Aichi Gamagori-shi Miyacho
    This hot spring district, considered the best in the Tokai region, has four source springs each with differing qualities, something seen in very few other places in the country. All of their waters are gentle on the skin and said to enhance beauty. They also boast a wide array of other supposed health benefits, and bathers can feel they are doing something healthy for their body while taking a relaxing soak. Guests staying at one of the five Try Oyuron participating hot spring ryokan inns can bathe in the bathhouses of any of these inns for free. These inns also offer day trip bathhouse plans to non-guests and as well as a money-saving day trip hot spring bath passport. In addition, there are many sightseeing destinations in the area, such as beautiful Take Island, the symbol of tourism in Gamagori City a designated National Natural Monument; and the Kongoji temple's giant Kobo Daishi statue, the largest in Asia.

  • Yuya Onsen
    Aichi Shinshiro-shi Toyooka‧Notose
    The history of this hot spring district, considered one of the 100 most famous in Japan, dates back 1,300 years. The pale yellow waters of the area's chloride springs are said to treat nerve pain, rheumatism, women's diseases, and skin diseases. The district, which follows a ravine carved out by the Itajiki River, consists of around nine hot spring inns standing eave to eave, and bathers bathing in the area's outdoor baths will find their souls soothed by the beautiful local scenery. Bicycles can be rented at Yuya-Onsen Station and the Yuya Onsen Tourist Information Center, making it easy to explore the area and enjoy a day trip to a local hot spring bathhouse. Horaikyo Gorge extends five kilometers up and downstream from the district, and in summer the gorge's river is used for swimming and river sports, while in fall the area is known for its gorgeous autumn foliage. Other area attractions include the Toyokawa Inari Shrine, considered one of Japan's three greatest Inari shrines; Mt. Chausu; and Hamamatsu Flower Park.

  • Sasado Onsen
    Aichi Toyota-shi Sasadocho
    Situated along a lake on the upper reaches of the Yahagi River in Aichi Prefecture, this hot spring district is the oldest in the prefecture and its springs were discovered in the Muromachi period. A part of the Okuyahagi Onsenkyo hot spring village, the district encompasses hot spring inns standing along the Yahagi River. Surrounded by ancient natural beauty, visitors can enjoy hot spring bathing in an elegant and atmospheric environment. The waters of the district's hypotonic alkaline cold mineral springs are said to treat numerous ailments, including nerve pain, muscle soreness, joint pain, frozen shoulders, motor paralysis, joint stiffness, bruises, sprains, digestive disorders, hemorrhoids, sensitivity to cold, and fatigue, in addition to aiding post-illness recovery. Visitors can also find famous, typically Japanese understated sightseeing destinations nearby, such as the small Sasado Ryujin shrine, said to grant worshippers prosperity in business; and the Taishido pavilion, which, when prayed to, is purported to protect one from ear-related disasters.
