    Tochigi Nasushiobara-shi Kuroiso
This hot spring inn in Nasushiobara is the only one in the Kuroiso area whose baths are only filled with water straight from a natural hot spring source. The high quality waters of the sodium calcium chloride sulfate saline spring are piped from 1,200 meters below the ground from the same waterway that feeds the Naka River and are said to treat such ailments as nerve pain, rheumatism, injury, broken bones, burns, hemorrhoids, women's diseases, post-illness recovery , stress, motor disorders, joint pain, muscle soreness, frozen shoulders, digestive diseases, wounds, bruises, hardening of the arteries, and sensitivity to cold. A flower-lined walking path leads from the inn called Kakuraku and follows the Naka River; after a long walk taking in the plum blossoms, cherry blossoms, daffodils and, in the fall, autumn foliage, nothing feels better than a hot spring bath.

    Tochigi Nikko-shi
A hot spring district located near Nikko’s Sannai area. Sprawling around the Nikko Nishaichiji (two shrines and one temple), registered as part of the Shrines and Temples of Nikko World Heritage Site, the waters of the area’s simple springs are said to beautify the skin and treat such ailments as stiff shoulders and nerve pain. Located within city limits, the area also makes a perfect base for local sightseeing. An abundant array of events are held in Nikko Onsen throughout the year, including a Boy’s Day celebration and Tanabata Festival, as well as the Nikko Two Day Walk and nighttime snow trekking. In addition, the Taiyuin temple’s Nitenmon gate will be lit up at night from March 22 to 24 and 29 to 31 in 2019 to celebrate the completion of its construction.
