    A complex facility built next to JR Izumi Station. The exterior and interior are characterized by the samurai residence style. In addition to a souvenir shop, a tourist information center, a restaurant, and a civic hall that serves as a rest area, etc. are available. The souvenir shop carries many specialty products of Izumi City, such as tea, Satsuma-age (fried fish paste), shochu (distilled liquor), sweets, and citrus fruits, as well as many specialty products from Kagoshima Prefecture neighborhood. It is also expected to function as a base for local revitalization by being used as a venue for events such as special product fairs and markets, and by handling bicycle rental.

    出水駅構内にある観光特産品館 飛来里（ひらり）は、お土産品売店の他、観光案内所や、お食事処、休憩所として利用できる複合機能施設です。 レンタサイクルを借りて、重伝建の町並みを観光しました。 お茶菓子に「菓心いちしめ」さんの丸鶴よもぎを購入。 ちょっと変わったかるかん饅頭ですね。 生地はもっちり・ねっとり、よもぎ餡のいい香りが口の中に広がります。

    This sweets shop is located west from Nishi-Izumi Station on the Hisatsu Orange Railway along Prefectural Route 374. Operated by a poultry farm, the shop sells richly-flavored sweets made with freshly-laid eggs. Their most popular product is their Uffu Choux. Each one of these cream puffs is stuffed with fresh whipped cream to order, allowing them to always be enjoyed at their crispiest best. Other popular products include gelatos and puddings made with Jersey milk as well as roll cakes. The shop even offers seasonal flavors of roll cake such as strawberry and cherry blossom. The shop offers so many delicious varieties that you will never grow tired of its sweets.

    This bakery located across the Komenotsu River from Izumi Comprehensive Athletic Park is especially proud of its bread loaves. They allow the dough to rise all night long after inoculating it with natural yeast discovered in the Shirakami-Sanchi World Heritage Site. The owner, a specialist who has won many awards at food competitions, changes the blend of the flour every day based on its quality. This obsessive attention to detail is one of the biggest appeals of the bakery, which always has about 90 items in stock. Its popular offerings include staples such as croissants and melonpan (sweet melon-shaped buns) as well as its original pain de champagne made with Kagoshima sweet potatoes and sweets such as fromage cheesecakes.

    営業時間悪すぎます。高速船ターミナルである川内港内にあるのに、甑島里港16：30発川内港17：20着（秋冬ダイヤ）、とれたて市場17：00閉店です。春夏ダイヤも直前で閉店するという残念な営業時間。家族に甑島のクロマグロ、イカを土産に買って帰りたい、あともう少し高速船利用者のために営業時間を調整してください。（川内駅までの繋ぎのバス時間ももう少し調整してください）

    日帰り入浴施設＆ホテルも併設されてるので駐車場は広大です。 店内では地元の農産物、土産物が販売されてて道の駅風なたたずまいでした。 トイレは併設されてるホテル内にありました。 販売所の規模はそれ程大きくないので日帰り入浴を楽しみたい方なら立ち寄ってもよいポイントかもしれません。

Over 100 active volcanoes across Kagoshima make it one of the Japan's most exciting prefectures. The prefectural capital, Kagoshima city, looks out to one of the prefecture’s most spectacular volcanoes, Sakurajima, an island of its own that can be visited and seen close up or admired from afar, with the promise of breathtaking sunsets complete with frequent puffs of smoke and ash.
