    This visitor center for Sakurajima is located in Kirishima Kinkowan National Park (Sakurajima). The center features informational exhibits about the history of the volcano's eruptions as well as the nature on the island. It is popular for allowing visitors to experience the living Sakurajima through its high-definition theater, dioramas, computers, and other media. Exhibits include volcanic projectiles of various sizes from actual eruptions, a cross-sectional model of the volcano's layers, live camera footage of its Showa crater, and real time seismograph data, and up-to-date numbers of past eruptions. There is also a museum shop where visitors can purchase souvenirs such as the island's special products as well as volcanic ash and rocks.

    A tourist information center located near the “Miyanourako Iriguchi” bus stop. Visitors can get information such as on traffic conditions and recommended sightseeing destinations. The center’s souvenir and gift market carries over 5,000 local Yakushima specialty products, and visitors can purchase everything from Yakushima cedar handicrafts to original confections and other products offered no place else. A restaurant “Rest-In Yakushima” on the second floor boasts a view of the sea and diners can enjoy local Yakushima dishes like fresh seafood cooked with rice, and local delicacies such as flying fish.

    A roadside station located a 30-minute drive from Kanoya City on National Route 220 traveling towards Shibushi. Rhinoceros beetle sumo is a popular event in Osaki Town, and two giant rhinoceros beetle statues stand in front of the station. Situated on the grounds of Asupal OSAKI, visitors will find a hot spring bathhouse, hotel, restaurant, and shop available for their use. The Osaki Fureai no Sato Park is a renowned destination for cherry blossom viewing and bustles with visitors during the blooming period in spring.

    国道２２０号沿いの道の駅。道路脇２匹の巨大なカブトムシのモニュメントがイミフで笑えます。案内所のスタッフは気さく。室内顔ハメ看板を写真に取っていたら「一緒に写真撮りましょうか？」など世話を焼いてくれます。「お先に失礼します。」と思わず突っ込みたくなります。

    This Amami Oshima tour guide service offers a variety of tours of Amami Nature Observation Forest, which is part of the Amamigunto National Park. Although there is no minimum group size (tours can be booked even for one person), tours are limited to just one per day in order to provide participants the best experience possible.     枕崎駅のクリアファイルも購入しました。 待合室にはソーシャルディスタンスを取るために発泡スチロール箱がおいてあり カツオの町、枕崎らしい演出です。 案内所の方はお一人で対応され、証明書発行や観光案内のほか 隣にあった塔の記念撮影までしてくださって、サービス精神に溢れたお方でした。

    先の口コミにもありますが、場所が変わっています。 ただし看板等も道路走行中は見づらく（設置角度の問題）通り過ぎてしまう可能性大です。 内部にはお土産と観光案内パンフレット等があります。マンホールカードもここでもらえます。

    伊集院駅南側の駅前広場にある案内所です。パンフレットや日置市の物産品が置いてあります。伊集院まんじゅうなど、日置市を代表する物が買えるので便利です。お酒は、展示はしていますが、売っていません。市内の酒店で買ってくださいとのことでした。

Over 100 active volcanoes across Kagoshima make it one of the Japan's most exciting prefectures. The prefectural capital, Kagoshima city, looks out to one of the prefecture’s most spectacular volcanoes, Sakurajima, an island of its own that can be visited and seen close up or admired from afar, with the promise of breathtaking sunsets complete with frequent puffs of smoke and ash. Down the Satsuma Peninsula, the most southerly part of mainland Japan, waterfalls, sand onsen, and fascinating history await, while Kagoshima's abundance of satsuma imo (sweet potato) provide a wholesome snack as well as one of Japan's favourite drinks - shochu.
