    Miyazaki Kobayashi-shi Minaminishikata Ikoma 7680
This fruit farm is located close to the Kobayashi Interchange on the Miyazaki Expressway. The farm grows grapes and Japanese pears on grounds surrounded by lush natural beauty. The fertile soil and extreme temperature differentials between night and day in the Ikoma Highlands are perfectly suited to growing fruit, and this climate is famous for further enhancing the sweetness of fruit. The farm offers fun Japanese pear and grape picking from mid-August through late October. The Ikoma Highland's cosmos field and the Ebino Highland are located nearby, and many visitors enjoy scenic driving through the area stop by here.

If you travel between Miyazaki and Kumamoto, drop by this fruit farm to pick the best fruit of the season. Nice people to talk to. I bought some grapes and was still fresh and taste excellent after...

    Miyazaki Kushima-shi Honjo 9894
This fruit park is located a 10-minute drive from Kushima Station. On the park's spacious grounds, visitors can enjoy picking strawberries. The park primarily grows Saga Honoka, a variety of strawberry notable for its high sugar content and low acidity. These strawberries are also very firm and have a relatively long shelf life. In addition, their slim conical shape and glossy red color means they are often used to decorate Western-style confections. The farm grows trees heavy with vivid, sun-yellow Hyuganatsu fruit, a variety of citrus fruit, next to its strawberry greenhouses, and is one of the few places in the prefecture where you can enjoy picking Hyuganatsu.

The farm pays particular attention to the soil its strawberries grow in, and employs reduced agrochemical farming techniques which reduce the use of agricultural chemicals as much as possible. "Located about 5 minutes by car from JR Kitago Station, this strawberry farm is open from January 2 to mid-May every year and grows five varieties of strawberries: ""Sagahonoka"" with its refreshing sweetness, ""Yayohime"" with its high sugar content, ""Red Pearl"" which is a rare variety, ""Koiharuka"" which is Miyazaki Prefecture's original variety, and ""Hoshi no Kirameki"" which landed in Kyushu for the first time. An unmissable highlight of Kyushu, Miyazaki prefecture satisfies nature lovers with its dramatic gorges cut out of rugged cliffs, leading into waterfalls and beaches of green-blue water popular among surfers. Takachiho Gorge in the north of the prefecture tells a tale of centuries-old Japanese mythology in a fantastic setting, allowing visitors to explore the waters by boat before heading up to the cave at the Awano Iwato Shrine, where the sun goddess was said to have hidden, plunging the world into darkness.
