Here you can purchase natural Yakuyo Yunohana bath salts created according to a process which has been designated a National Important Intangible Folk-Cultural Property. The facility is adjoined by a large rock outdoor bath situated on a hill, as well as private family baths modeled after the huts used to make the bath salts. The facility was remodeled in 2006 but its history is ancient, having been established by the Buddhist priest Ippen in 1276 and thereafter coming to be known as a health spa. あつ湯とぬる湯があるが朝一番に入るとぬる湯でもめちゃ熱かった(￣▽￣;) 番台の人に聞くと建物が出来て、今年で100年だそうです。ある意味、ノスタルジックでいい温泉です。

This day-use hot spring bathhouse is located not far from the Beppu Interchange. In addition to men's and women's bathing areas, the bathhouse has a large public bath area and sand bath area, and customers can enjoy a diverse array of bathing facilities, including tubs made of different materials, a cascade bath, and a steam bath. There's also a footbath. The waters of the bathhouse salt spring are said to treat nerve pain and muscle soreness. Note that persons with certain health conditions are contraindicated from using the baths. The bathhouse also has free, time unlimited parking and can accommodate large vehicles, making it easily accessible by car as well.

On weekdays, the hotel offers the ""Weekday Yuttari Plan,"" which allows you to enjoy the family baths for an extra 30 minutes, with some exceptions, and lunch and rooms for rent are also available."

温泉自体はとても良かった。ただし営業時間に気をつけろ。HPには24時00分などと書いてあるが大浴場は11時00分までだ。

"This day-use hot spring bathhouse is a 10-minute drive from Kamegawa Station and Beppu Station and is not far from the Umi Jigoku and Oniishi Bozu Jigoku, two of the ""Hells of Beppu"" (visually stunning hot springs which are meant to be viewed rather than bathed in). In addition to indoor and outdoor baths, there's a scenic overlook bath on the second floor from which bathers can take in the scenery. The bathhouse also has five private family baths which cannot be reserved, meaning you can choose from among any which are open at the time you come. The waters of the bathhouse' salt spring are said to promote warmth retention and moisturization and customers are recommended to come here for a finishing soak after visiting Myoban Onsen. 別府地獄巡りの途中で立ち寄った鬼石の湯。地獄巡りのひとつ「鬼石坊主地獄」に隣接した日帰り温泉施設です。館内には内湯があり、その隣は露天風呂になっていました。さらに、２階には「展望風呂」と名付けられた露天風呂もありました。メタケイ酸をたっぷり含んだ温泉は、肌触りがなめらかな感じがしました。「地獄巡りの途中にひとっ風呂」、なかなかいいですよ。

"This day-use hot spring bathhouse is a five-minute drive from Beppu Station and 10-minutes from Beppu International Tourism Port. According to legend, after a hot spring was dug up, much thought was put into what to do with it, and when it was decided to use it for hot spring bathing, the bathhouse was built in a single night; in turn, it is nicknamed the ""One Night Hot Spring."" After moving to its current location, it became such a fixture of the local community, it is said that most residents in the area had their very first bath as a baby here. Facilities include a large bath area situated so close to the sea it is said to be “0 meters above sea level,” and a scenic overlook bath available only to guests. A feature of this hot spring is the thick steam which spews through the rock surface of the mountain. Also, the temperature of the water vapor is put to practical use with the breeding of animals such as hippopotamus, llamas and flamingos, so there are also some people who visit here for the small zoological gardens.

地獄めぐりの観覧券では入ることが出来ない山地獄。入場料500円です。その中にある売店、素朴なこじんまりとした売店ですが名物「地獄蒸し鬼たまご」を1個（100円）を購入。他には唐揚げやたこ焼きなども売っていました。ちょっと小腹を満たすにはいいですね。

This day-use hot spring bathhouse adjoins Kaimonji Park a five-minute walk from Beppu Station and a 10-minute drive from Beppu International Tourism Port. The bathhouse is beloved by local residents but is also visited by many tourists. Another nice thing about the bathhouse is that its baths incorporate universal design principles such as handrails. The waters of its sodium hydrogen carbonate spring are said to treat muscle soreness and joint pain, as well as mild cases of high blood pressure and asthma. The bathhouse has two tubs, one hot and one lukewarm, and those who are not used to very hot baths are recommended to use the lukewarm one.

These rooms are also replete with shampoo, body soap, and other amenities, as well as a washroom and shower. The bathhouse is open year-round and its baths can be used for 60-minute periods; bathing times can also be extended by an additional 30 minutes."

敷地内の鉄輪ホテルが経営。お正月のかきいれ時の為、フロントの方1人で応対されており忙しそうでした。内風呂、露天があり1時間2500円をどう捉えるか…ですが…鉄輪エリアだとありなのかもしれません。ただ洗い場(シャワー)が1つしかない、備品もドライヤーのみのためお子さんがいらっしゃる場合だと時間的に厳しいかも。
