This private art museum is a 25-minute drive from the Isahaya Interchange. The museum primarily displays art by Kan Kozaki, a print artist living in Nagasaki City. In addition to prints based on the poetry of Santoka Taneda and the atomic bombing, the museum's standing exhibition also consists of sculptures as well as pieces by Nagasaki Prefecture Intangible Cultural property-designated potter Kagyu Yokoishi XIII. The museum also holds special exhibitions. There's also a cafe area and museum shop which carries items perfect for giving as gifts.

The showcases on the first floor of this Western confectionary shop are filled with 50 varieties of small cakes available for takeout. The Obama Unzen Ganso Guruguru, a whipped cream roll cake which comes in four flavors, is the shop's most popular cake. Other Western confections available include Obama choux cremes, crepes, and puddings. The second floor is a cafe area which serves sandwiches and other light meals. The terrace seating area offers a view of the ocean. The shop also holds all-you-can-eat and all-you-can-drink events.

小浜温泉の足湯近くにあるケーキ屋さんで、ショーケースにいろんなケーキがありました。パンもおいしく、とくにクロワッサンがさくさくでおいしかったです。お土産にいちごのバームクーヘンを買いましたが、それもおいしかったです。

The Obama salted milk gelato is the most popular flavor and, as its name implies, is sprinkled with natural salt from Obama Onsen. You'll also find limited time flavors such as cherry blossom. This souvenir store adjoins the Orange Bay hotel a 50-minute drive from Taira Port and the Isahaya Interchange. In addition to seafood products like iriko dried sea slug and onsen tsukudani soy sauce boiled preserved foods, the shop mainly sells foods which make use of local ingredients, such as jams made with tomatoes and carrots. Well-known confections such as Jaga Pies and Yusembei biscuits are also popular. There's also an area where you can find cheap, old fashioned Japanese dagashi snacks and sweets. Another nice thing is that Orange Bay guests can get a discount coupon.

This pottery studio was established by Hyakkansai Handa when he moved to Unzen from Tokyo in 1935. The studio makes and sells a variety of Unzen ware, which it helped make nationally famous. The technical prowess of the studio was even praised by Emperor Showa. Today, the studio continues to pass on tradition while at the same time taking on new challenges, and customers can purchase studio products such as volcanic ash guinomi sake cups and chawan bowls. There's also an adjoining gallery. In addition, the studio holds pottery making activities in which participants can make a mug or plate.

"This Japanese restaurant faces Genseinuma Kakitsubata Park in a corner of the Unzen Onsen hot spring district. Open 24 hours a day, at night the establishment also serves Japanese izakaya pub-style items. The restaurants Unzen crab chanpon, which has been featured on television, is particularly highly regarded. This luxurious variety of chanpon is served with an entire, whole Japanese blue crab. Other popular items include potato balls and spicy naba chanpon topped with an abundance of mushrooms. The restaurant's expansive menu also includes staple teishoku set meals, rice dishes, and ""yoshoku"" Japanese-style Western food."

Good food and a nice ambiance. This place is a good choice for staple japanese foods such as soba but also small bites are available. The best choice for food outside of the ryokan in Unzen.

"This day-use hot spring bathhouse, located near Shirakumo Pond, is a 70-minute drive from Isahaya Station and 90 minutes from Nagasaki Station. Replete with parking, the bathhouse is conveniently accessible by car and is a great place to visit while touring the various ""hells"" of Unzen. The waters of the bathhouse' simple sulfur spring are said to treat such ailments as nerve pain, chronic women's diseases, and fatigue. There are separate men's and women's indoor and outdoor baths, plus a private reservable bath, and the bathhouse' shop sells souvenirs. At this Japanese restaurant, you can eat Obama chanpon, a variety of chanpon which has evolved into a dish quite different from the standard variety of chanpon born in Nagasaki. The restaurant's chanpon has a light flavor and customers can choose to have it made with or without eggs. The restaurant's chanpon, which has even been featured in various media, is so popular, it sells out at times. The Irishio Gozen meal, which is made with seasonal ingredients available at that time of year, is also highly regarded. The restaurant also offers a variety of staples such as donburi rice bowls, udon and other noodles, and teishoku set meals. Tachibana Bay can be seen from inside the establishment.

A hot spring district located in Unzen-Amakusa National Park, Japan's first national park, and one of its biggest appeals is its commanding view of Mt. Unzen and the many other 1,000 meter high mountains in the area. The area is said to have been developed as a hot spring resort some 350 years ago by a man named Kato Zenuemon and later grew and expanded as a popular destination for foreigners visiting Nagasaki as a place to escape the summer heat. The area's colorless or milky white acidic sulfur springs are strongly antibacterial and are said to aid in recovery from fatigue and promote health in addition to easing eczema, frostbite, cuts, and other ailments.

A seaside hot spring district facing Tachibana Bay which boasts the hottest waters in Japan. This ancient hot spring destination, situated at the foot of Mt. Unzen, is even noted in the Hizen fudoki, a record of the area compiled in the early Nara period. From the 1900s, the area came to be seen as a health resort, and today it still generates an abundant flow of piping hot water from some 30 source springs. The area's springs contain sodium and are extremely hot, reaching 105 ° C at the source. Steam rises up from the ground everywhere in the town, and onsen-mushi, steaming foods using this hot spring steam, is a popular local activity. Hot Foot 105, a new footbath facility opened in 2010, takes its name from its 105° C source spring waters and, at 105 meters in length, it is Japan's longest hot spring footbath. There's also a footbath area designed to be walked through and a footbath area for pets.
