- Nagasaki Unzen-shi Chijiwacho Ki 529
- A Shinto shrine located in Chijiwa-cho, Unzen City. The shrine is dedicated to Tachibana Shuta, a man who served as aide-de-camp to the crown prince and who also served as the principal of a school for cultivating young officer candidates. A museum on the grounds dedicated to the man operates out of a portion of Tachibana's childhood residence, which was dismantled and moved here. The temple is a famous destination for cherry blossom viewing, and in the spring some 1,000 cherry trees along the approach to the shrine come into bloom. At the end of the year, the shrine's torii gate is decorated with huge traditional bamboo decorations standing over 10-meters-tall which have been granted a Guinness World Record.

- Nagasaki Tsushima-shi Minecho Kisaka 247
- "A Shinto shrine located in Kisaka Mine-cho, Tsushima City. The shrine is also known as the Tsushima Ichinomiya, ""Ichinomiya"" being a term used to describe the most important shrine in a region. The shrine was originally titled the Hachiman Hongu (meaning ""main Hachiman shrine"") because it enshrined eight flags which belonged to Empress Jingu; the name was later changed to its current title in the Meiji period. The shrine's sacred grove is also Kisaka Wild Bird Forest, a section of virgin forest which has been designated a Natural Monument by the prefecture and which has been outfitted with walking paths."

- Wakamiya Inari-jinja Shrine
- Travel / Tourism
- Nagasaki Pref. Nagasakishi Irabayashi 2-10-2
- Wakamiya Inari-jinja Shrine is known as the “old shrine of Wakamiya.” Its origin is said to be when the deity of Kusunoki Masashige, the harvest god “Inari” in the Nanboku-cho period, was enshrined in its current location in 1673. It is famous as a place where many patriots came to visit in the closing days of the Tokugawa shogunate, including Sakamoto Ryoma. During the grand festival held on the 14 and 15 of October, young men wearing masks of white foxes perform acrobatics unassisted atop 10-meter-tall bamboo in a show known as “Takengei” (bamboo performance).

- Nagasaki Iki Ashibecho Hakozakihonmurafure 1678-1
- "This Shinto shrine stands at the top of Mt. Otake a 15-minute drive from Ashibe Port. The site is so sacred, the entire mountain was made off limits as an object of worship in the Meiji period. Said to be the place where Amenohitotsubashira and Tsukuyomi-no-Mikoto descended to Earth, the shrine is also dedicated to Sarutahiko-no-Mikoto and over 200 stone monkey statues affiliated with the god stand on the grounds. A sacred stone behind the front shrine is a mystical ""power spot"" which causes compasses to go wild. If you make a special request to the shrine's priest, you can learn about the history of the shrine and possibly receive a guided tour of areas normally off limits to visitors."

Nagasaki Areas
This hidden corner of the country is rural Japan at its best, where underground activity is to thank for active volcanoes and bubbling natural hot springs along the Shimabara Peninsula as well as the crystal clear waters of the Goto Islands off the west coast. Less well known than Hiroshima’s Peace Memorial Park, Nagasaki commemorates its own past at the Nagasaki Peace Park, which sits alongside the charming Meganebashi stone bridge and a mix of religious buildings with beautiful architecture, such as the Zen Buddhist Sofukuji Temple, the Confucian Shrine, and the Oura Christian Church.
