    Fukuoka Yame-shi Motomachi 2-123-2
A museum where all of the traditional crafts of the Yame region are gathered under one roof. The building was constructed on the sight of Chikugo-Fukushima Station on the former Japan National Railways Yabe Line, and its design is modeled after the traditional white-walled kura storehouses of the Yame-Fukushima region. Accordingly, the line's old train rails can actually be seen inside the building. Inside, the museum displays the arts and crafts of the Yame area, such as Kurume kasuri textiles, which have been designated a National Traditional Craft. There's also a sales gallery area where you can purchase traditional crafts and other merchandise. On the south side of the building, there is a 500-meter long wisteria trellis created from the rails of the old train line, and from mid- to late April, visitors can enjoy walking through a tunnel of wisteria blossoms.
