Booked this place as it use to be a Bib Gourmad recommentation. Very busy on a Sunday night with a lot of japanese locals. Staff quite friendly and had english menu. Shame the yakitori isnt cooked...

福岡名物かわ焼きの人気店。薬院駅より歩くこと5分、「とりかわ」と書かれた提灯を横目に予約せずに初入店。カウター端に落ち着く。かわ焼とビールを注文、お通しは福岡焼きとりの定番、酢ダレがかかるキャベツ。待つこと10分、一瞬細目のツクネににたルックス、タレが革に染み、かりかり中はとろとろ、癖になる味わい。鳥の脂が濃いためお代わりはできずキャベを完食し終了。

博多駅のコンコースでテイクアウト販売をやっているときに弁当で利用しました。夕方の終わりに近い時間なのでそう期待もしないで購入して持ち帰りました。さばの炭火焼弁当といういたって普通の弁当のようなものでしが、この炭火焼がさすが焼き鳥の店だけあって美味でした。
