    A Japanese style garden in the Koishi region. Originally a natural garden maintained by a local individual after the owner passed away local volunteers cared for the garden and planted plum trees and other plants. The 30,000-tsubo (nearly 100,000 square meters) plot is now home to a variety of seasonal plants including almost 1,000 plum trees as well as hydrangeas, ginkgo trees, and more. Attached to the garden is a houseplant botanical garden.

    日帰りバスツアーで訪問しました。入館料は無料。こんなに数多くの椿が一か所で見られるなんて。花が小さなもの、大きなもの、雄蕊めしべが筒状の物、ばらけている物、まだら、単色・・・美しいです。平日昼間なので、他に訪れる方もいないのが残念です。椿油絞の実演も拝見し、お土産に購入しました。
