    This rest temple is located along National Route 379 in Uchiko Town, Kita County, Ehime Prefecture. In addition to a center providing information about tourism and transportation, there are also several facilities that make the temple a hub for local exchange and tourism. Onsite is a farmer’s market where local vegetables, fruits, flowers, and specialty goods are sold, as well as a workshop that provides freshly baked bread and ham and restaurants that serve dishes with a local flavor. Popular items include Uchiko-made ham and sausage, which uses technology from Germany itself, and gelato made with fresh local fruits.

Stretched across the northwest corner of Shikoku island, Ehime is a nature-rich prefecture boasting beautiful coastlines and a rural center where mountains play host to 26 of the Buddhist temples that make up the Shikoku Pilgrimage. Matsuyama is home to an original post-feudal castle as well as Dogo Onsen, one of the country’s oldest natural hot springs. The northern city of Imabari marks the entrance to the Shimano Kaido, a road that crosses six spectacular bridges and several islands, forming a route between Shikoku and mainland Honshu.
