- This museum in Tobe Town, Iyo County, Ehime Prefecture provides information on the history of “Tobe-yaki,” one of Japan’s traditional forms of pottery. Tobe-yaki was created in 1775 under the directive of Kato Yasutoki, the feudal lord of the Ozu Domain at the time. The museum exhibits materials on Tobe-yaki’s history, unique features, and production process. In addition to precious Tobe-yaki samples, there are exhibits on other forms of pottery as well. On the second floor you’ll find individual exhibits, group exhibits, and a variety of other planned exhibits. There’s also an area where visitors can purchase their own Tobe-yaki potteries.

砥部焼の展示を行っている施設ですが、砥部町にある多くの窯元の磁器の販売も行っています。私が訪問した際には、１万円以上を購入すれば、１割引になると掲示されていました。複数の窯元の商品を比べて、それぞれを少しずつ購入したいなら、こちらの施設で買うのも良いかもしれません。 それ以外にも、自転車の貸し出しも行っていて、１日300円というかなり安い金額で自転車を借りることができます。 窯元を巡るのであれば...

本当に不勉強で，家内共々坂村真民さんのことを存じませんでした。きれいな記念館で展示された内容を拝見し，学ばせて頂きました。常に自らを戒め叱咤する姿には敬服する限りです。晩年の生き抜くことへの執着というより決然とした努力も 迫力を感じました。砥部焼を楽しみに来たのですが,思いがけない勉強が出来て楽しめました。

- This gallery is located inside of a renovated kominka (old folk home) in Gohonmatsu, Tobe Town, Iyo County. It exhibits works of Tobe-yaki Ware, a local style of pottery. The gallery also sells soba choko cups and other items fired at local potteries. It provides information about each pottery and can also be used as rest stop.

伊予鉄の終点駅の郡中港駅から港方向に向かうとすぐにあるのがこのお寺です。 きちんとしたお寺できれいに整備されています。 寺から港方面にもすぐです。

Stretched across the northwest corner of Shikoku island, Ehime is a nature-rich prefecture boasting beautiful coastlines and a rural center where mountains play host to 26 of the Buddhist temples that make up the Shikoku Pilgrimage. Matsuyama is home to an original post-feudal castle as well as Dogo Onsen, one of the country’s oldest natural hot springs. The northern city of Imabari marks the entrance to the Shimano Kaido, a road that crosses six spectacular bridges and several islands, forming a route between Shikoku and mainland Honshu.
