This prefectural zoo, located within the Ehime Prefectural Sports Complex in Tobe Town, Iyo County, Ehime Prefecture, has the largest site area of any zoo in Western Japan. Visitors can enjoy panoramic views without the hindrance of cages and fences due to the use of natural features around the site. Visitors can see about 180 species and 1,000 animals in the zoo including Peace, the first successfully hand-reared polar bear in Japan, African elephants, and some clever chimpanzees. The zoo also holds events throughout the year including the Night Zoo, where visitors can observe the animals at night.

At this tourist facility located in Tobe-cho, Iyo County in Ehime Prefecture, visitors can learn about the appeal of Tobe-yaki pottery, designated as an Ehime Prefectural Intangible Cultural Property and a traditional national industry. The manufacturing processes of Tobe-yaki pottery are almost all done by hand even today and the most interesting part of the facility is the area where you can watch the master craftsmen at work at close proximity. The facility also exhibits and sells works from potteries in the town as well as interactive workshops such as ceramics painting, hand-modelling and potter’s wheel work to create a souvenir of your trip.

This museum in Tobe Town, Iyo County, Ehime Prefecture provides information on the history of “Tobe-yaki,” one of Japan’s traditional forms of pottery. Tobe-yaki was created in 1775 under the directive of Kato Yasutoki, the feudal lord of the Ozu Domain at the time. The museum exhibits materials on Tobe-yaki’s history, unique features, and production process. In addition to precious Tobe-yaki samples, there are exhibits on other forms of pottery as well. On the second floor you’ll find individual exhibits, group exhibits, and a variety of other planned exhibits. There’s also an area where visitors can purchase their own Tobe-yaki potteries.

This hot spring bath-house and hotel has free flowing hot-spring baths attached to every room as well as day trip baths. The hotel has its own personal spring that comes up from 800 meters underground. It's a sodium - hydrogen carbonate cold mineral spring that's hypotonic with weak alkalinity. The spring water has a pH level of 8.2 and is known to have a hyperthermic effect and be good for making your skin soft. Also located nearby are sights like the Tobe Zoo, the Children's Castle, and the Tobe Porcelain Traditional Industry Hall, making this the perfect base for sightseeing in Tobe.

伝統産業会館の近くで車で数分でした。駐車場の入口が狭いですが、来る人が多くないのかもしれません。駐車場は十分な広さでした。駐車場の横に窯跡展示があります。陶芸体験がメインの施設です。

本当に不勉強で，家内共々坂村真民さんのことを存じませんでした。きれいな記念館で展示された内容を拝見し，学ばせて頂きました。常に自らを戒め叱咤する姿には敬服する限りです。晩年の生き抜くことへの執着というより決然とした努力も迫力を感じました。砥部焼を楽しみに来たのですが,思いがけない勉強が出来て楽しめました。

This longstanding Tobe-yaki kiln opened in 1882 in Tobe Town, Iyo County, Ehime Prefecture. It is the largest potter in town, and they allow visitors to observe the manufacturing process inside the factory and examine climbing kilns that were used in the past (designated as Tangible Cultural Properties by the town). There’s also a museum with pottery on display and materials on the history of the potter, as well as an adjoining sales area. The sales area offers many exquisite and sturdy Baizangama wares featuring simple yet beautiful hand-drawn designs based on the traditional Tobe-yaki style that emphasizes both function and beauty.

砥部焼観光センター炎の里にて拝見した”梅山焼”に興味が湧き窯元まで足を伸ばしました。工場直売店ですが、梅山焼以外も扱っている、とのことです。普段使いの品物が欲しかったので、Ｂ級アウトレット品を安価で購入出来、満足でした。

The name of the Craft-no-Sato tourism facility was changed to ""Roadside Station Nakayama"" after it was registered as a roadside station. The central Wood Craft Center houses a farmers market and shops selling local arts and crafts. In the Sherbet House, you can eat ice cream made by hand with select ingredients. The Konekonetei restaurant serves fresh, handmade soba noodles and also offers soba noodle making experiences."

This gallery is located inside of a renovated kominka (old folk home) in Gohonmatsu, Tobe Town, Iyo County. It exhibits works of Tobe-yaki Ware, a local style of pottery. The gallery also sells soba choko cups and other items fired at local potteries. It provides information about each pottery and can also be used as rest stop.

This hot spring facility is in Miyauchi, Tobe town, Iyo district. The hot spring water quality has a reputation for beautifying effects. They have a variety of baths, like hypersonic wave tubs, whirlpool baths, and more, along with saunas, and you can enjoy a view of the next-door Tobecho Tokaidoyutori Park, or the Tobe-yaki pottery tiled walls of the baths. The building also has a light meal dining area.

砥部町にある日帰り温泉施設。国道379号線から脇道に入り、車で5‐6分程度のところにあります。観光客向けではなく、利用者は主に地元の方のようでした。貸タオルはなく、ハンドタオルを150円で販売していますが、バスタオルはないため、持参したほうがいいと思います。泉質はナトリウム-炭酸水素塩・塩化物泉で肌がしっとりとするいいお湯でした。

The attached Gallery-tousai display unique pieces of art that are also available for purchase. While preserving traditional techniques they also make original works using orange trees they're given by local farmers.

The Tourigaoka Golden Week Tobe-yaki Ware Fare held here between the end of April to early March features a variety of events including sales and exhibitions by each pottery.

This facility located in Sozu, Tobe Town, Iyo County offers Tobe-yaki Ware experiences. Tobe-yaki is a local style of pottery that is a specialty of the region. There is also a 100-meter-long roller slide located just outside the facility.

This geological fault is located along National Route 379 in Iwayaguchi, Tobe Town, Iyo County. This exposed portion of the Japan Median Tectonic Line is an example of a reverse fault. This rare type of thrust fault is notable for having the older stratum move up and over the newer stratum. The fault has also been designated as a national natural monument and the entire area has been developed into Tsukiagedanso Park (Thrust Fault Park).

Stretched across the northwest corner of Shikoku island, Ehime is a nature-rich prefecture boasting beautiful coastlines and a rural center where mountains play host to 26 of the Buddhist temples that make up the Shikoku Pilgrimage. Matsuyama is home to an original post-feudal castle as well as Dogo Onsen, one of the country’s oldest natural hot springs. The northern city of Imabari marks the entrance to the Shimano Kaido, a road that crosses six spectacular bridges and several islands, forming a route between Shikoku and mainland Honshu.
