"An L-shaped shopping arcade which connects Dogo Onsen Station on the Iyotetsu Jonan Line and the Dogo Onsen Honkan. Having flourished as a temple market from the Meiji period, visitors can take in the ""Meiji romance"" atmosphere the arcade still exudes. The arcade is filled with establishments offering up the charms of Dogo Onsen, such as Shirasagido, a shop famous for its bocchan dango sweet dumplings; and the Dogo Bakushukan beer hall, where you can enjoy local Ehime alcoholic beverages. The arcade is dedicated to the concept of warm and welcoming hospitality, and there are around 60 shops here ready and waiting to give a friendly welcome to customers. The bustling arcade was also selected in 2017 as one of HABATAKU Shopping Districts 30 due to their contribution to the revitalization and development of local communities through supporting the lives of local residents."

At this tourist facility located in Tobe-cho, Iyo County in Ehime Prefecture, visitors can learn about the appeal of Tobe-yaki pottery, designated as an Ehime Prefectural Intangible Cultural Property and a traditional national industry. The manufacturing processes of Tobe-yaki pottery are almost all done by hand even today and the most interesting part of the facility is the area where you can watch the master craftsmen at work at close proximity. The facility also exhibits and sells works from potteries in the town as well as interactive workshops such as ceramics painting, hand-modelling and potter’s wheel work to create a souvenir of your trip.

Omori Japanese Candle is a shop selling traditional Japanese wax candles, located in Uchiko Town, where the wax-making and Washi (traditional Japanese hand-made paper) industries flourished during the Edo and Meiji periods. A section of a wax candle made in the traditional way (which has been handed down for over 200 years) shows a ring-like pattern; with no coloring or decorative motifs, the candles have a simple beauty. These are long-lasting candles that produce little soot and don’t suffer from dripping wax. The candles have attracted a great deal of interest in other countries, and are featured on the website of the British Museum. Omori Japanese Candle is located around 15 minutes’ walk from Uchiko Station.

This shopping mall located in Nigiwai Hiroba, Imabari City, was built around a concept of “the Seventh Island of Shimanami.” It features around 120 specialty stores in five different areas, each with a different theme such as food, international, sports, and kids. Twenty of the shops are the first of their kind in Shikoku. The mall’s other facilities include an event space, a children’s square, and more. Visitors can also enjoy seeing the mall illuminated at night.

家族で買い物とご飯を食べに来ました。雰囲気のいいモールですが人がかなり少ないので快適。施設と客が合ってない感があるけどショップの種類も多くてオススメです。

First opened in 2006, this is Shikoku's largest direct sales depot. Here you can buy and sell fresh, safe, delicious produce at low prices that you couldn't find outside of a direct sales depot because they purchase produce at low price directly from the makers. Along with the expected seasonal fruits and vegetables you'll be able to find everything in this Farmer's Goods-Local Goods shop including meat products, fresh fish, dairy goods, and gifts. There's also Shu-chan's Marugoto Cafe which offers light meals such as curry and hot sandwiches as well as fresh 100% fruit juice and smoothies and soft serve ice cream. You can also eat food you've bought from the shop in the cafe. A popular menu item is the Melon Mountain which uses an entire half of a melon.

A long-standing Japanese-style confectioner that first opened in 1867. They have seven directly managed branches including in Ebisu, Tokyo, and approximately 170 dealers nationwide. Their manju (steamed bun stuffed with sweet bean paste) use only high quality redbeans and granulated sugar and are small and elegant, weighing only 22-grams apiece. Their manju (steamed bun stuffed with sweet bean paste) with almost transparent wrappings are available for individual purchase and make perfect souvenirs.

This deep-fried food delicatessen is located alongside the ramen shop Shokubo Yumejikon in front of the Botchan Karakuri Clock at the entrance to the Dogo Shopping Street. Their popular products include their Jaco Cutlet, a crispy breaded fried mix of minced fish and vegetables. Having appeared in numerous forms of media and gourmet TV programs, they are well known as one of Ehime's gourmet delicacies. Other great fried foods perfect for eating while you explore the area are their Iyo beef croquette, their pork and ginger croquette, and their tatsuta-age, a deep-fried fish or meat marinated in soy sauce and other flavors, and coated with potato starch. You can also enjoy piping hot deep-fried food at the ramen shop next-door.

This long-standing kamaboko (steamed seasoned fish paste) manufacturer was first opened in Uwajima in 1888 and stands alongside Odawara and Akashi, as one of Japan's three most famous producers of kamaboko. They make Yakinuki-style (Roasting cooking method) salt-only flavored kamaboko using fresh local Uwajima lizardfish. It's characterized by its tender constancy and crisp flavor. They offer a wide variety of fish products including chikuwa (tube-shaped fish paste), dried young sardines, sumaki fish strips, and Uwajima specialty Jako-ten, which is a fried fish paste with the skin and bones included. The kamaboko and Jako-ten assortments make for great gifts and souvenirs.

This long-standing western-style confectioner is an Imabari landmark. First opened in 1903 they've continued to offer the same flavor over four generations. One of their hallmarks is that summer classic, shaved ice. The making of the shaved ice is overseen by the shop's patissier owner and after being shaken and whipped it stands out for its smooth melt-in-your-mouth texture. They offer 30 different flavors including their Milkshake with the classic sweetness and Strawberry-Milk with the luxurious taste of strawberries. During the winter months they open as a coffee shop and mainly sell cakes.

The Besshi Ame Candy, a top quality delicious sweet milk candy, was named after the Besshi Copper Mine, one of Japan's three largest copper mines. They still make their glucose syrup the classic way in copper kettles giving the candy a simple nostalgic flavor. A set with five different flavors including local Ehime specialty the mandarin orange, green tea, strawberry, cocoa, and peanut makes for the perfect souvenir or snack with your tea. With at least one-week prior appointment you can see the manufacturing process. The attached Hand-made Udon Cho-be offers chewy and slippery texture noodles.

A long-standing Japanese confectioner that first opened in 1867. The origins of yubeshi, a sweet yuzu-citrus flavored steamed dumpling, is said to date back to the Ashikaga-period where it was a preserved food for warriors and high-class family celebrations. The shop first began when they made maru-yubeshi by hollowing a yuzu citrus and filling it with a mix of sugar, miso, rice flour and mochi flour before steaming it then presenting it to the then lord of the Saijo region, Matsudaira Sakyo. Along with their maru-yubeshi, which takes two to three months to make, they also offer other products such as a bite-size yubeshi baked covered in natural bamboo, and a yuneri made from boiling yuzu-citrus skins with sugar and soy sauce.

This Japanese sake direct sales shop is located along Prefectural Route 53 in Ominami, Tobe Town, Iyo County. It is part of the brewery operated by Kyouwa Syuzou, the makers of the famous Hatsuyukihai brand of sake. Visitors can sample and purchase the brewery’s regular products as well as limited-issue products. It is also possible to see vintage sake-making tools on display and purchase Tobe-yaki sake cups and bottles. Tobe-yaki Ware is a local style of pottery that is a specialty of the region. A cafe, Sakagura Cafe Hatsuyuki, is also attached to the shop.

This includes their pearl croquettes, the shop’s flagship item, which are made with the adductor muscles of Akoya pearl oysters.

This kamaboko shop is located in Horibata-cho, Uwajima City. It sells a number of processed seafood products including jakoten, a specialty of Uwajima. These fried fish cakes are made with minced small fry, which are not usually used to make kamaboko. Other offerings include their “teoshi tempura,” a version of jakoten made only with savoury and chewy bonito belly, as well as kamaboko made with lizardfish. The shop makes its products the old-fashioned way using exclusively fresh fish.

This Japanese sweets shop is located on Honmachi-dori Street in Uchiko, Uchiko Town, Kita County. Their specialty is their famous kurimanju (steamed chestnut buns), which have a history dating back more than a century. Other offerings include Japanese sweets such as monaka (red bean paste wafer sandwiches) as well as western-style sweets such as their limited-issue roll cakes.

看板の店名の上に老舗と書いてあります。外観も素敵で、上の部分が白の格子になっています。この構造は内子では珍しいです。栗饅頭や最中を1個１２０円でばら売りしてくれてるので買いやすいです。最中は甘さ控えめで美味しかったです。

Stretched across the northwest corner of Shikoku island, Ehime is a nature-rich prefecture boasting beautiful coastlines and a rural center where mountains play host to 26 of the Buddhist temples that make up the Shikoku Pilgrimage. Matsuyama is home to an original post-feudal castle as well as Dogo Onsen, one of the country’s oldest natural hot springs. The northern city of Imabari marks the entrance to the Shimano Kaido, a road that crosses six spectacular bridges and several islands, forming a route between Shikoku and mainland Honshu.
