- Kotohira-gu Shrine is a Shinto shrine located halfway up Mt. Zozu (which is 521 meters high) in Kotohira Town; it is commonly known as Konpira-san. There are a number of legends concerning the origins of the shrine, all of which suggest a mixture of Shinto and Buddhist influences. Besides the principal kami (deity) of the shrine, O-mono-nushi-no-kami, the spirit of the Sutoku Emperor is also worshipped there. O-mono-nushi-no-mikoto is worshipped as the guardian deity of seafarers. Besides the Homotsu-kan (Treasure Hall) and the Omote Sho-in hall, there are many other fascinating things to see, including the Takahashi Yuichi Hall, where oil paintings by the renowned artist Takahashi Yuichi are on display.

本宮の手前にあります。昔は本宮と間違えてしまい、こちらを参拝して帰ってしまう人もいたそうですが、なるほどと思います。 今は本宮の帰りに参拝するようにロープで歩道が区切られています。正面に屋根付きのベンチが置かれていて、長い階段を上ってきた後に、ここで一息入れることができます。 彫刻が素晴らしく、じっと見入ってしまいそうです。

- Takinomiya Tenmangu is Sanuki's god of scholarship. In 886 Sugawara-no-Michizane became Sanuki's governor, living in the official residence located in Takinomiya, Ayananjo County. It's said the shrine grounds are built on the site. The Nembutsu dances that take place annually on the grounds have been designated a National Important Intangible Folk Cultural Property. Lots of visitors come on August 25 for the annual rites to pray for rain and a good harvest. These ceremonies have been held for over 1,000 years.

「学問の神様」の菅原道真が讃岐の国司になったときに住んでいた場所です。 道真はこの後右大臣まで出世しました。 普通の神社でしったが、道真の絵などが飾られていました。

- This shrine is in Higashi-Kagawa City, Kagawa Prefecture. Stories tell that the spirit of Yamato Takeru became a swan and alighted at this shrine, and the grounds now hold garden lanterns donated by generations of feudal lords. It also has Mt. Miyama, which boasts of being Japan's lowest mountain at 3.6 meters, and the shrine offers certificates as evidence of your mountain climbing.

猪熊邸を見るために車を走らせているとこちらを発見。 こちらは日本武尊（ヤマトタケルノミコト）の魂が白鳥になって降り立ったといわれる神社で、春・夏・秋に、盛大な大祭が開催され、また、神社内にある通称「みやま（御山）」は標高3.6m。日本一低い山として地域おこしをしており、白鳥神社では登山証明書を発行してあるそうです。 境内には大きな御神木があり、近寄ると体にビリビリ感がありました。

- Izutama-jina Shrine's Okusha sanctuary is at 421 meters above sea level. A roughly one-kilometer foot path through dense woods with the feel of a mountain trail brings you to a flight of 1,368 stone steps that lead up to it. There's a terrific view from the grounds that takes in the town of Kotohira, Sanuki Fuji, and even the Seto Inland Sea. The sanctuary honors Izutamahiko-no-Mikoto, the founder of the Kotohira Honkyo. The shrine shop sells amulets and paper omikuji oracles thought to bring good luck.

観光施設で有名な四国村に隣接して在ります。本来は東照宮、つまり徳川家康公を祀る神社です。高松は代々家康公の子孫、水戸家の分家たる松平家が治めてきた地、信仰は随分と厚かったのでしょうね。

四国学院大学と道路を挟んで向かいにあるエリアの広い神社です。もっとも全国どこの護國神社も広いですけどね。境内入り口右に錨、左に軍馬、海軍と陸軍を象徴しているのでしょうか。綺麗に整理されていました。

ｍｙ自転車にて参拝ですが、何しろ高台にある神社なので随分と苦労して登りました。それでも登った時に、境内から見ることが出来る風景に疲れが吹き飛びます。社殿そばに数台ですが駐車場があるので車でも行けますよ。

東京行きフライトにまだ時間がある……地図で探して最寄の神社さんがこちらでした。有名なのは境内鳥居横の一対二株の大銀杏です（二月は冬枯れ）。拝殿まではちょっと長い階段を登りますが、清々しい気持ちになれました。

この地を治めていた領主が夢で白羽が飛んできたそうで、この地を探したら出て来たそうです。また祈願することによって大病を克服したという逸話がある神社です。自然に囲まれた神社です。

住宅が密集したエリアにある愛宕神社です。結構細い道が続くのでスマホのMAPが欠かせません。鎌倉時代の創建なので、それなりに古いと思いますが、今では寂しいかなと感じます。
