    店主によれば、他の店のおいりより、時間をかけて作っているので、歯につかないとのこと。確かに歯にべっとりとつかず、美味しく頂けます。値段も手ごろで5箱も買ってしまいました。わざわざ行く価値ありのお店です。

    高松土産と云えば「瓦せんべい」を外せないと思っています。一寸したバラマキ用土産を探していたのですが、個別包装で日持ちするのは便利で、「小瓦」なら12枚入りで1,080円と価格面でもリーズナブルでした。更には衝撃を受け難いコンパクトな箱入りで持ち運びにも便利でした。

    This udon noodle restaurant is located in a residential area one kilometer from Kan-Onji Station. The restaurant has been making delicious, old-fashioned, local-style udon noodles since it was established in 1927. The recipe for its thin noodles, unusual in the Sanuki region, has been handed down through the generations. The noodles have a slippery, perfectly springy texture and go perfectly with a broth which harnesses the innate flavor of dried sardines, kelp and Kagawa soy sauce. The restaurant’s udon, made with uncompromising ingredients, is so delicious, you can eat it every day without tiring of the flavor.

    昭和2年創業のうどん屋です。路地裏に入り組んでいるので少し見付け辛いです。うどんの麺は細めで腰の強いタイプで、特に卵とじうどんはお酒を呑んだ次の日に癒される優しい味です。また、ネット注文も可能です。支店も市内にあるそうですがこちらは2階建で、お好み焼きも食べられるそうですよ。

    This Japanese confectionary shop can be identified by its noren shop curtain featuring a depiction of an old Japanese coin and is located a 10-minute walk from Kan-Onji Station. Established over 100 years ago, the shop sells a variety of Japanese and Western-style confections. The shop’s famous and popular Kannonji mini cakes combine a Western-style cake with a moist white bean paste and egg yolk filling. Inspired by the Zenigata Sunae, the top sightseeing destination in Kan-onji City, the cakes are emblazoned with a simplified image of a coin. Inside, the shop has a folksy atmosphere and is replete with an eat-in space where customers can enjoy cakes and other sweets from the shop’s showcases, along with coffee and matcha green tea.

Located a 10-minute walk from Kan-Onji Station, the shop continues to make its signature Aimusuyaki brand shrimp crackers without additives or fillers and using only fresh-caught shrimp from the part of the Seto Inland Sea known as the Hiuchi Sea. The crackers are made by thinly slicing the shrimp and cooking them using a round steel skillet, and many people like to use the crackers as-is as toppings for hotpots and sukiyaki. The crackers offer the rich flavor and aroma of high quality shrimp.

    This udon shop is also an antenna store of Sanuki Shokuhin, a long-established noodle manufacturer. On holidays, the spacious parking lot often fills up in no time as many people from in and out of the prefecture visit the restaurant.

    7年ほど前、よく来ていました。 駐車場も広く、回転も早く、お店の方々もニコニコしていて、おうどんのコシもほどよく、おでんやお寿司も美味しかったお店です。 で。久しぶりの訪問です。 あれ？ 私の口が肥えたのか？ うどんの茹で上がりのタイミングが悪かったのか？ 決して不味いわけじゃない。 でも、フツーーーのうどん屋さんでした。 再訪して、もう一度確かめて、自分の中での結論を出そうと思いました。

    感じが良く落ち着く。 すごい美味しいという風に感じたわけでもないけど、雰囲気込みで良かった。 地元の人が訪れているという感じ。 コーヒーパック買ってみたが、たしかに和菓子に合う感じで満足した。 また飲みたい。

Identifiable by its large triangular roof, the restaurant serves springy udon noodles. The Niku Udon noodles are particularly popular; the vaunted bowl consists of an exquisite pairing of salty-sweet meat, rich dashi broth, and tasty noodles. Noodles; the sweetness and texture of the onions; and flavorful, tender meat – many people make their way here from beyond the prefecture’s borders just to try this tasty dish. The restaurant has been making its noodles based on the philosophy that good udon starts with good noodles since it was established in 1958.

    カレーうどんのハシゴ食べ比べで訪問。 ここのカレーうどんは家庭のカレーぽい印象で玉ねぎ人参など野菜も多めに入ったルーがかけてありました。 ほっとするような味です。

    This tearoom is located on the grounds of Shikoku Mura, an outdoor museum which displays old and ancient traditional homes moved here from across the Shikoku region. Operating out of Western-style home built as a residence for Englishman William Down which was moved here from Kobe, the tearoom serves coffee and black tea as well as cakes and muffins. Inside, the building exudes an English atmosphere and all of the furniture was ordered from the U.K. Everything is around a century and a half old, engendering an elegant and quiet air. The tearoom can also be used as a venue for parties, presentations, concerts, commemorative photography, and other events.

    四国村の出口のところにある、喫茶店です。素敵な建物を眺めながら通り過ぎようとしたら、登録有形文化財とのこと。しかも喫茶店で、神戸から移築して表にはロンドンから移したという大ぶりの風変わりなポストがでんと座っていました。店の中は広々して、古いけどしっかりしたつくりのテーブルと椅子が満ちていました。
