- This udon noodle restaurant opened in 1965. The ability to take in views of the Miyagawauchi River while enjoying a washbasin full of udon noodles has kept it popular all these years. Their flavorful secret dipping sauce, made with plentiful amounts of more than 10 stock ingredients including dried sardines, kombu seaweed, and katsuobushi (shaved dried skipjack tuna), is provided with a beaten egg in a small pot. Other popular items include their karaage (Japanese-style fried chicken), which is tossed in a home-made sauce, and grilled shiitake mushrooms, which are grown on natural logs in Awa City and served with ponzu (yuzu citrus and soy sauce) and sudachi citrus.

- This tea house is located in a more than a century-old townhouse located across from the old Yoshida residence. It offers sobagome zosui (buckwheat porridge), a local delicacy well-known to the people of Tokushima Prefecture. This hearty and healthy dish is flavored with a stock made with Awa-odori chicken, a local breed. Their sobagome zosui sets, their zenzai (sweet red bean soup) and matcha tea sets, and their sudachi juice are also very popular.

３人で、たらいうどんを食べましたが たらいも大きく迫力に負けそうですが美味しく 頂きました＾＾ かねぎん釜飯も頂きましたが、山菜や鶏肉等が 入ってます。釜飯もお勧めです。 鳥から揚げも美味しく、焼き鳥も頂きました。

Unfortunately no vegetarian hamburger. The staff is very friendly and communicated well with mindreading, because we don’t speak Japanese. The lemonade was a bit sweet for my taste.

丸亀製麺の鴨島店です。最近徳島でもおいしいうどん店が多くできておりますので、わざわざこちらを訪れる方はあまりいらっしゃらないと思いますが、釜揚げがいつでも対応してもらえるのはありがたいです。

やはり、地元から離れ何かお昼ご飯を食べようとお店を探す場合、どうしても、安全策を取りますとこのような、全国チェーンのファミリーレストランが無難になります。その面では、味もサービスも、わかっている安心感は絶大です。こちらも、お安い料金で、いろいろなバリエーションの食事が出来ますのは、ありがたいことです。今回は、とり天定食をいただきました。
