- Tokushima Prefecture Naruto City Naruto-cho (in Naruto Park)
- Uzunomichi Promenade is located around 60 minutes by bus from JR Tokushima Station. The promenade extends out over the sea, under the Ohnaruto Bridge, for 450 meters. Opened in 2000, this is one of Tokushima’s best known tourist attractions. Glass-floored sections have been installed at four locations along the Promenade, so that visitors can view the strong tides and roaring whirlpools in the sea below. The observation gallery at the far end of the Promenade makes use of the space provided by one of the Bridge girders to enable visitors to walk right round and get a 360-degree view; visitors can experience the impressive whirlpools from a spot 45 meters above the water.

- Oku-Iya Double Vine Bridge
- Travel / Tourism
- Tokushima Pref. Miyoshishi Higashiya Tube production 620
- The Heike clan built this bridge about 800 years ago in order to get access to their horse-riding grounds in Mt. Tsurugi for training. It is also called the “male bridge, female bridge” and the “couple’s bridge” as there are two vine bridges which run in parallel beside each other. Immediately upstream of the female bridge, there is a “wild monkey” rope bridge where you traverse the valley by pulling the rope manually—it will be a valuable experience.

- Udatsu Townscape
- Travel / Tourism
- Tokushima Pref. Mimashi Wakimachi South town
- First established as the castle town of Waki Castle, this townscape developed as center for the indigo trade. Many of the machiya (town houses) feature tile-roofed and plastered udatsu (short pillars for supporting a ridgepole) on both ends of their roofs. The streets, which retain the scenery of Japan’s early modern and modern period, are lined with 85 traditional buildings built between the mid Edo period to the early Showa period, with most being built around the Meiji period. Every October, the neighborhood holds the Udatsu Festival. The townscape has been selected as one of Japan’s 100 Best Roads as well as an Important Preservation District for Groups of Traditional Buildings.

- Omotegoten Garden of Old Tokushima Castle
- Travel / Tourism
- Tokushima Pref. Tokushimashi Tokushimachoujounai 1-9
- This garden was designated by the national government as a Place of Scenic Beauty in 1941. It was built as the garden for the living room and the front drawing room of the Hachisuka clan, the lords of the former Tokushima domain. Landscaped by military commander and master of the tea ceremony Ueda Soko, the famous garden conveys the style of the Momoyama period. It includes two different gardens: a Karesansui garden which uses only gravels, rocks and trees to express nature and a Tsukiyama-sensui garden with rocks representing mountains and actual pond filled with water. The Karesansui garden is a Kansho-shiki garden, designed to be enjoyed from a single perspective. On the other hand, the Tsukiyama-sensui garden is a Chisen kaiyu-shiki garden, which allows visitors to enjoy the view while strolling along a path around the pond.
