    This tea house is located in a more than a century-old townhouse located across from the old Yoshida residence. It offers sobagome zosui (buckwheat porridge), a local delicacy well-known to the people of Tokushima Prefecture. This hearty and healthy dish is flavored with a stock made with Awa-odori chicken, a local breed. Their sobagome zosui sets, their zenzai (sweet red bean soup) and matcha tea sets, and their sudachi juice are also very popular.

    This is a Japanese-style confectionary store built in a serene place, overlooking the Tokushima Castle Ruins. The store is built in the Sukiyazukuri architectural style, an architectural style based on the Japanese tea ceremony house. Confectionaries using carefully selected Shikoku and Tokushima regional ingredients such as Kitagawa Yuzu citrus and Sudachi citrus, Naruto kintoki sweet potato, Awa bayberry, and Itano Wasanbon sugar are popular. The most famous sweet is a rice cake called “Awayu” which is green Azuki bean paste wrapped in soft Habutae mochi. Also round and lovely Nishikidama confectionery filled with fruit called “Yuutama” are popular. In the store, visitors can enjoy tea and sweets while looking at the beautiful garden.

    羽二重餅でゆず餡を包んだ「淡柚」。真っ白な羽二重餅がまぶしいくらい。ふわふわの触感も素晴らしいし、ゆず餡の方も上品ですねえ。 なお、柚は高知の北川村の産だそうです。

    Terrace Cafe Ohge is a terrace café located in the Renaissance Naruto Resort. The open terrace with its high ceiling offers superb views over the Naruto Strait. The café’s menus features a wide range of options made using locally-sourced ingredients from the Awa and Naruto regions. These include smoothies, parfait and tarts made using Naruto Kintoki-imo sweet potatoes, as well as meat dishes made using Awa Beef and Awa Pork, etc. Naruto Bream, caught in offshore waters nearby, is used to make a range of Western- and Japanese-style dishes, including Bream Mabushi, Bream Ramen, Bream Tonkatsu Sandwich, etc.
