Tokushima Tokushima-shi Hachimancho Mukai Terayama Bunkanomori Comprehensive Park
A permanent outdoor exhibit created by Team Lab, a group gaining much attention in Japan and around the world for its cutting edge digital art. The group created the exhibit by first recreating one of the buildings in the park in a virtual 3D space. They then simulated a waterfall falling over that building and used projection mapping to project this image on the actual building. The waterfall continually changes depending on the movement of people; standing at the top of the piece, the flow changes, and you can experience what it’s like to be a boulder obstructing the movement of water.
