- This Japanese confectionery shop is located in Nagato Yumoto Onsen. Since its establishment in the late Meiji period (1868-1912), the shop has been making handmade sweets using only the finest ingredients. The most popular item is their waffles, which have many varieties such as cream, matcha green tea, mashed bean paste and chocolate. The handmade waffles with a mild sweetness are loved for their elegant sweetness. Their tamago manju that looks like a cute quail egg and onsen manju with a simple taste are also popular. The shop also sells household goods and Hagi-yaki pottery.

長門湯本温泉の入口、バス停の近くにある店で、大手コンビニがないこのあたりでは、コンビニのようにドリンク、食べ物、日用品が揃っていますが、もともとは和菓子の店、温泉みやげのまんじゅうなどあります。お勧めは自家製ワッフル、クリーム味、あんこ味など一個120円から単品で買えるのがうれしい。

- This coffee shop is characterized by the ivy vines that completely cover the exterior of the building. You can taste the home-roasted coffee beans of your choice. The building was originally used as a bank and it known for being a relaxing place to spend a moment in a calm space surrounded by high ceilings. The specialty coffees are carefully roasted in small batches in order to bring out the best of the ingredients. In addition, it also sells coffee beans and drippers.

先にオーダーしてお金を払ってから、席につくタイプです。1人で切り盛りしているようです。店主が、余り愛想のいい人ではないので、少し緊張します。店内は、昔の金融機関の名残りが残っていて面白い。クレームブリュレ美味しかったけど、通いつめようとは、思いません。
