- Yamaguchi Iwakuni-shi Sekido 1-109
- "A souvenir shop and restaurant serving local cuisine and on Prefectural Route 1 in 1 Chome, Sekido, Iwakuni City. While gazing out at the Nishiki River, you can dine on Japanese style gozen meal sets featuring Iwakuni-zushi. The on-site cafe offers sweets such as their Kintai Gokyo Baumkuchen cake and light fare. They also sell souvenirs like folk crafts, Yamaguchi produced sake, and ""hasumochi,"" an Iwakuni specialty sweet with dough made with lotus root."

近隣の所蔵と、生協とともに春の催しを共同開催していました。お買い物によるスタンプラリーをしていたため、立ち寄ってみました。 一般的な、お土産もの屋さんと飲食のスペースがあり、お土産などを購入するのには良いと思います。

- Yamaguchi Yanai-shi Yanai 5275
- A Japanese and Western confectioner with attached pottery workshop. Enjoy their traditional Yanai dishes and original desserts within the classic building that reminds you of a bygone era. Their specialty Cha-Gayu is a traditional Yanai dish made by cooking rice in roasted green tea. Their popular Cha-Gayu Set meal pairs the simple flavor of Cha-Gayu with simmered and pickled side dishes as well as a dessert and its gentle flavor is the perfect way to sooth your tired mind and body.
Yamaguchi Areas
Heading west along Japan’s largest island, Honshu, the very last prefecture you’ll reach is Yamaguchi, separated from Kyushu by a small strip of water known as the Kanmon Straits, which the far-reaching harbor city Shimonoseki looks over. With water at every turn, the seafood of Yamaguchi is an indisputable highlight, and we’re not talking just the usual fish dishes - the notorious fugu, or puffer fish, is a Japanese delicacy that was discovered in Yamaguchi prefecture, making it the best place to try it out.
