    A restaurant located on the second floor of the No. 3 Orimoto Marine Building (Yamato Museum visitor parking lot) in Takara Town, Kure City, Hiroshima Prefecture which famously serves dishes recreating the recipes used for the former Japanese navy and the Maritime Self Defense Force. The most popular item on the menu is the teppan curry, which recreates the recipe used on the Japanese submarine Soryu and which is served on an iron tray like those used by the MSDF. The restaurant’s stylish interior is modeled after that of a submarine. A tripod machine gun used for filming a movie and a model of the battleship Yamato are displayed in the restaurant’s shop corner.

    Seaside Cafe Beacon is a cafe restaurant about five minutes’ walk from Kure Station, located next to the Yamato Museum with views out to sea. The dishes are made with lots of fresh locally harvested produce from both land and sea.
