    A daifuku (sweet bean pasted-stuffed rice cake) shop located in Innoshima Ohashi Park on Innoshima Island in Onomichi City, Hiroshima Prefecture. The shop’s Hassaku daifuku, an Onomichi specialty, are particularly renowned, and fans from around the country come here to enjoy them. Hassaku daifuku have a fresh flavor and are made Hassaku oranges stocked from contract farms on Innoshima Island and Ikuchi-jima Island wrapped in shiroan white bean jam covered with mochi glutinous rice. The shop also sells a variety of other fruit daifuku such as seasonal strawberry and grape daifuku. The shop has an eat-in space with free coffee and a view of Innoshima-ohashi Bridge.

Particular about their ingredients, they use no preservatives or food coloring, giving you the chance to taste gelato made with care and attention. There is also an eat-in area.

    The place has a nice room where you can seat enjoy your delicious ice cream with a cup of tea. I definitely recommend the hazelnuts and pistachio flavors!

    地元フルーツ(みかんとレモン)のフレーバーがありました。それ以外は、どこにでもありそうな感じです。 ひとつだけ味見をさせていただけたので、レモンを試食し、オレンジを注文しました。 都会に比べて値段は少し安めで、サイズも大きいです。 レモン生産日本一のこの場所にせっかく来たなら、瀬戸田レモン味は絶対食べるべきジェラートかと思いました。

    尾道駅からロープウェイ方面へのアーケード内にあります。昔ながらの店構えで落ち着いた店内です。お蕎麦も美味しかったけど、自分で石臼を使って大豆を引いてわらび餅のきな粉を作るところは本当にユニークです。黒い本蕨餅も初めての体験で、記憶に残る旅の思い出になりました。オススメです。

Sweets made with organic matcha green tea and hojicha (roasted green tea) are popular, as well as the parfait made with homemade sweet bean paste and matcha Swiss roll. There is more than meets the eye awaiting any Hiroshima-bound traveler. Kicking off in Hiroshima city, the Peace Memorial Park, Hiroshima Castle, and Shukkeien Garden offer a couple of days of exploring; however, the real beauty lies along the southern coast of the prefecture. There, a series of islands spreads across the Seto Inland Sea: from the mysterious sea-submerged Great Torii Gate at Miyajima Island to the first half of the islands that connect Honshu to Shikoku via six spectacular suspension bridges.
