- This shop specializes in tamagokake gohan, made with raw egg on rice with soy sauce, and has a black and white modern interior. It's located about a 30-minute drive from Mimasaka Interchange off the Chugoku Expressway. All the ingredients, including the toppings and miso, not just the rice and eggs, are from local sources. The pickles are all made in-house, as well. You can choose from five topping sauces to make your perfect bowl: pale nira garlic chive, sesame, shiso leaf, scallion, or nori seaweed. The nira is grown in the dark of the local mine shafts and is rich in nutrients that are said to prevent senile dementia, improve blood flow, and fortify the body.

餃子の種類も多く、岡山名産の黄ニラ餃子などここでしか食べられないものもあり、どれもおいしかったです。ただ、夕食時に席は空いているにも関わらず喫煙者のテーブルの横で、喫煙席と禁煙席の区分を今後していくなどしないとインバウンド客への対応が難しくなってくるかと。

ポテサラ・長芋酢あえ・蛸のぬたで始まり、造りは蛸・さわら・鯛。 サワラの造りはとても美味しい。 鍋で湯葉豆腐でしたが、なかなか湯葉ができません。豆乳が多分薄いのだと思います。ジャガイモの冷製スープ。これは美味しい。 もち団子・煮物・酢の物と続き茶漬けとデザートで3500円。 倉敷に来た時には欠かせないお店です。

Overshadowed by Hiroshima to the west and the Kansai region to the east, Okayama is an easy spot to miss but a nature-rich gem where the Seto Inland Sea laps at its toes and peach and grape farms complete its interior. One of Japan’s Three Great Gardens, Koraku-en in Okayama city is well worth a visit before progressing to Kurashiki, where preserved wooden Edo buildings line the picturesque canal.
