    Okayama Ibara-shi Biseicho Miyama 5007
"This theme park recreates a town from Japan's medieval period, with the kind of town and village that existed on the Kibi highland from the Kamakura period into the Muromachi period, all built based on historical materials. The buildings recreate as closely as possible the architecture and design from the period, down to the furniture and decorations. There are simple kominka style houses, a lively market, watchtowers, and the lord's manor, all helping visitors to experience the historical culture. There are also events evoking the time's culture, like making bamboo ""dragonfly"" flying toys."

Okayama Areas

around-area-map

Overshadowed by Hiroshima to the west and the Kansai region to the east, Okayama is an easy spot to miss but a nature-rich gem where the Seto Inland Sea laps at its toes and peach and grape farms complete its interior. One of Japan’s Three Great Gardens, Koraku-en in Okayama city is well worth a visit before progressing to Kurashiki, where preserved wooden Edo buildings line the picturesque canal.
