    Kanijiman is a restaurant specializing in crab cuisine that is located in an arcade of Mizuki Shigeru Road in the Honmachi district of Sakaiminato City. Kanijiman is run by a fishing enterprise, and so is able to provide carefully selected fresh crab. Diners can enjoy a really satisfying crab meal, including red snow crab, matsuba crab (in the winter), etc. The large restaurant has both tables and Japanese-style zashiki dining areas; some seats are available for diners accompanied by pets.

    水木しげる記念館のすぐ傍にあります。新かにめしセット1,650円と、紅ズワイガニ付きどんぶりセットを頂きました。カニを完食するのに時間を要しました。お味はまあまあでした。季節が旬な時期に再訪できればと思います。

    Sakai Daiba Park is a park centered round the remains of a coastal defense fortification that was one of eight such forts established in Tottori domain during the Edo period, and which has been designated as a National Historic Site. Within the Park there is also a hexagonal white wooden lighthouse; at certain times of year visitors are allowed to look round inside the lighthouse. Sakai Daiba Park is famous as one of the best places in Sakaiminato City for viewing cherry blossom; with around 350 cherry trees, the Park is a marvelous sight when the cherry blossom is in full bloom in spring.

    The Tottori Prefectural Minato Sakai Koryukan is a convenient location with restaurants, shops, as well as a tourist information center, Oki Kisen ticket counters, and a ferry boarding area. There are a string of shops that offer light meals—soba, udon, and fresh seafood taken from Sea of Japan—and a beloved souvenir shop with fish, seafood products, and local sake. Thankfully, they also provide information and directions to lodgings and hot springs. A one -minute walk from JR Sakaiminato Station.

    A three-minute walk from JR Sakaiminato Station. This much talked about tourist destination was built in March 2008 in the Yokai Plaza situated on Mizuki Shigeru Road. Visitors can have fun looking for the cute bronze statues of characters based on mythical Japanese yokai monsters created by Shigeru Mizuki, including Kappa no Sanpei, a kappa (mythical Japanese water creature), a tanuki (raccoon dog), an azuki-arai, a gangi kozo, a sazae-oni, Shonbenkozo (Mannekin Pis-style Kitaro fountain) no Kitaro, swimming Nezumi-Otoko, and Akuma-kun. Note the spooky gouts of mist the fountain also emits! Visitors are also recommended to check out the 177 yokai statues which dot the Mizuki Shigeru Road.

    This Japanese restaurant, a seven-minute walk from JR Sakaiminato Station, serves choice seafood cuisine made with select ingredients. Here customers can savor the tastes of red snow crab, champagne crab, blackthroat seaperch, and other extravagant seafood varieties shipped straight from Sakaiminato Fishing Port. The head chef never serves crab he isn't satisfied with, and customers love the restaurant's system which allows you to enjoy your crab either grilled over a charcoal fire or served hotpot style. You can reserve the number of crabs you intend to eat and freely choose any combination of how you would like them prepared, including crab sashimi, grilled crab, and crab sukiyaki. In addition to course meals, the restaurant offers a full array of a la carte choices.

The shop is filled with high quality accessories and ornaments, including denim pouches adorned with handmade appliques; an abundant variety of netsuke sash toggles featuring Kitaro, Nezumi-Otoko, Medama-Oyaji, and other characters from Shigeru Mitsuki's hit ""GeGeGe no Kitaro;"" surfing Kitaro T-shirts; yokai monster cellphone straps; Nurikabe bags, and more.     "This sake brewery, located a three-minute walk from JR Sakaiminato Station, was established in Sakaiminato City, Tottori Prefecture during the Edo period in 1865. The brewery is known for its dry sakes; meanwhile, its shop sells a variety of products, including local sakes perfect for giving as souvenirs which come in bottles modeled after characters from Shigeru Mizuki's hit ""GeGeGe no Kitaro,"" ""GeGeGe no Kitaro"" merchandise, and marine products from Sakaiminato. The shop also has a bar area where customers can enjoy all of the brewery's beverages at low prices. In addition, the brewery offers a popular tour which lets you enter the brewery area and see how its sakes are made."

Visitors can also take their time and read a numerous comic books by Shigeru Mizuki and Gosho Aoyama.     This is the headquarters and factory location of Sawai Coffee, a coffee and tea cafe chain established in 1982. The cute and distinctive exterior resembles a Greek temple; inside, customers can enjoy black teas and coffees with mild flavors that make them easy to drink even without adding sugar. The interior is spacious and brightly lit and, in addition to selling coffee beans, the establishment serves a full array of foods perfect for enjoying with a cup of coffee or tea. The establishment's brunch menu includes a croissant sandwich and salad combo, while the surprisingly filling afternoon tea combo comes with slice of original cake and a scone. The establishment is a favorite destination for tourists and locals of all ages.

    ナビで設定していきましたが、なかなかわかりにくかったです。店内で喫茶を利用予定ですが、コロナの影響なのかもうやっていないそうですが試飲させてくれ、お菓子もつけてくれました。コーヒー買って帰りましたが、とても美味しかったです。

    This Japanese restaurant can be identified by its distinctive crab sign, which is visible from National Route 431. The restaurant serves crab, which the area boasts the largest catches of out of anywhere in Japan; as well as a variety of other seafood. The restaurant's exquisite and hearty seafood rice bowls are topped with so many huge pieces of sashimi, you can't even see the rice underneath. Limited to just ten customers a day, on many weekend days they almost instantly sell out. The restaurant's fish, caught locally, is extremely fresh, and customers rave that here you can truly savor its innate flavor.

The facility is replete with a large pool perfect for adult practice, and a small pool perfect for young children to play in. The water is kept around 31° C year round. Customers can enjoy swimming in clean, crystal clear water whether its summer or winter. The facility also offers swimming classes for everyone from one-year-old infants to adults, and the facility is widely used both as a place to maintain health on an everyday basis and as a space where children can have fun swimming. The facility's large pool is 25-meters-long and has seven lanes which can be divided into lanes for adult practice, children, and water walking, ensuring you can enjoy your activity without bothering or being bothered by others.

Identifiable by its white and blue exterior, the shop carries implements and clothing to make your day more comfortable, and picture books and independent publications regarding everyday life topics. All of the shop's items and books about travel, food, and other lifestyle topics were personally chosen by the husband and wife owners, who boast a spectacular sense of style. You can also relax and enjoy a book you bought on the first floor in the second floor cafe area. The cafe's popular Itadaki is a rice dish also called nonoko meshi which is one of the Yumigahama area's most well-known local cuisines. The Itadaki no Ohiru Gohan combo comes with soup and Ebisu-cha tea and is the perfect thing to enjoy while taking a break from walking around Sakaiminato.

    This Japanese seafood restaurant faces the Sakai Channel. The restaurant's vaunted cuisine is made exclusively using wild seafood from Sakaiminato and the San'in region. All of the shop's seafood is stocked fresh each morning, and everything, from cheap yet popular varieties to high class seafood, is carefully selected by the owner and fishmongers. Each piece which makes up the restaurant's popular sashimi assortment is cut thick, resulting in a delightfully satisfying texture for diners. Single-serving cups filled with local sakes from across the country are on display above the counter, and customers can also have fun finding the sake they feel best pairs with their seafood. The restaurant also offers a full array of lunch options, including a mackerel meal, tempura meal, and roast beef rice bowl and, in addition to being a fun destination for families and groups, the restaurant is also a great place where a lone diner can feel comfortable.

    "Located to the west of the Mizuki Shigeru Museum, this manju (steamed buns with sweet bean paste filling) shop is distinguished by its black willow exterior. They sell cute, about six-centimeter-tall ningyo-yaki (doll-shaped manju) in the shapes of Kitaro, Medama-Oyaji, Neko-Musume, and Nezumi-Otoko. Ningyo-yaki contains one of three standard fillings: koshian (smooth bean paste), custard, and chocolate, and in addition, there are also black vanilla with a coal-black appearance and other seasonal items, each with a different flavor. Wrapped around the yokai (specter) manju is a ""Yokai Newspaper"" filled with information about Sakaiminato area and Mizuki Shigeru Road is included, so you can enjoy yourself even after eating the manju."

    水木しげるロードで水木しげる記念館側に歩いていく途中にありました。 新しくきれいなお店です。 人に渡すお土産をここで購入しました。訪問時少し割引がありました。 饅頭と名前がついてますが人形焼きのキャラに餡などが包まれている形状です。 妖怪新聞で包まれているパッケージなどおいしく食べながら新聞も読めると 二重の楽しみがあり、なかなか面白いお土産だと思いました。

    大型フェリーの発着場ですが、対岸が目の前です。対岸の風景は緑の山といった感じで、自然を感じることができます。 境港観光の最後に眺めに行くといいと思います。

    境港にある境港駅の前に、みなとさかい交流館が建っていました。 その１階にあったのが、こちらの、隠岐観光みやげセンターです。隠岐のおみやげ屋さんなんですが、水木しげるロードのスタート地点らしく、きたろうグッズもたくさんありましたよ。
