This roadside station on National Route 371 features an extended building reminiscent of a dragon's body. Forestry is Ryujin Village's main industry. As you enter the facility, you're welcomed by enormous pillars made from 350-plus year old southern Japanese hemlock, and local wood is used throughout the building. The sales area is replete with wooden products including tables and chairs, and the restaurant overlooking the Hidaka River serves coffee brewed with spring water. They don’t mind if you bring lunch with you to the facility.

    川沿いにある道の駅で、施設としてはこの辺りの道の駅と似たようなウッディな感じです。 道の駅の横に吊り橋があり渡ると神社がありました。 吊り橋からの景色も良く時間があれば渡ってみてください。

As it faces the Kumano Kodo's Nakahechi Trail, people walking the ancient pilgrimage route stop in for a rest as well those traveling by car. The shop sells a popular item called ""konnyaku inari,"" sushi rice tucked in a slightly spicy konnyaku gelatin pocket, as well as jabara citrus juice and candies that have been featured on television. There are tables inside and outside. There is a good selection of snacks and lunch foods for travellers. The coffee was cheap and not too bad. Well worth a stop.
