    A restaurant which has been serving cuisine made with local ingredients since it was established in 1944. The establishment is situated along National Route 480 in the Shimizu neighborhood and is enclosed by the snaking Arida River. To the north, the restaurant looks out on a small mountain which enwraps the Kiyomizu-dera Temple and the now-ruined Asekawa Castle. The restaurant’s signature dish is its “Wasabi-zushi”—bite sized salted mackerel wrapped in a wasabi leaf, a Shimizu specialty product. The restaurant’s bento box lunches are also popular for taking along on fishing trips and among tourists exploring the area on foot. The restaurant also offers other highly local dishes like Sansho Wakayama ramen and Kishu duck udon and soba noodles.

    Located inside the “Kaisen Senbei Nanki” sightseeing facility in Shinjo Town, Tanabe City, Wakayama Prefecture, this restaurant is known for its buffet’ that use plenty of local vegetables. There’s an open kitchen near the seats where they make over 50 different handmade dishes that are both healthy and taste great. The glass walls offer a sweeping view of the sea, and you can let the sound of the waves relax you on the porch. There’s a senbei (rice cracker) workshop observation session and a souvenir area, too.

    海に面していて大きなガラス張りになっているので、雰囲気がよいです。野菜中心の豊富なバイキング料理で、リゾートホテルのような感じ。美味しくて、デザート類も豊富。シニア割引があるので、老親と一緒に行きました。優しい和食中心なので、老親も大喜び。駐車場も広いので、余裕で車で行けます。

    This restaurant is inside “Akizuno Garten,” a hands-on sightseeing facility that opened in an old wooden schoolhouse. It is located in Kamiakizu, Tanabe City, Wakayama Prefecture. The popular lunch buffet uses fresh homegrown and locally-grown vegetables and consists of over 30 healthy and mild dishes made by local women. Gaze at the nostalgia-inducing woodlands as you enjoy some tempura and salad made with seasonal vegetables.

    数回行きました。元小学校？を商業施設にしていて、雰囲気がとても良いです。地元のおばちゃんたちが素朴な野菜中心の料理をバイキング形式で提供。平日昼間でも結構混んでいます。1000円以下でバイキング、美味しくたくさん食べられる。デザートのおからドーナツとコーヒーゼリーは毎回お替りしてしまいます。季節がよければ庭のテーブルがおすすめ。時々野菜の大安売りもしています。

    A restaurant situated along the road leading from JR Dojoji Station to the Dojo-ji Temple. Possessing seating for up to 450 diners, the restaurant can accommodate everything from small groups to large parties of up to 150 people. The restaurant’s traditional kaiseki course cuisine is particularly popular and gives diners the chance to savor the seasonal flavors of Wakayama, such as cherry anthias in spring and wild longtooth grouper in winter. The restaurant also sells signature “Tsurigane Manju” sweet buns. A renowned local Wakayama treat, these buns also make great souvenirs. Additionally, the restaurant offers seasonal fruit picking plans throughout the year. The restaurant takes care of all the arrangements, including making reservations, making its tours a great and easy way to create a family memory.

    Restaurant Anchin is a traditional Japanese restaurant located along the way from JR Dojoji Station to Dojoji Temple, which is famous for the legend of Kiyohime and Anchin. It offers a full range of the flavors of Wakayama Prefecture, including Sukiyaki Zen of the famous local Kumano beef and kaiseki cuisine (formally arranged dinner) centered on wild longtooth grouper fish. Its banquet room seats up to 200 people, making it a possible venue for funeral meals, year-end parties, and other kinds of occasions. This restaurant also offers plans that give guests the opportunity to pick and eat strawberries or melons to their heart's content at its affiliated farm. Since guests can pick seasonal fruit and flowers throughout the year, this is a good opportunity for experiential learning for children.

    This kaiseki restaurant is located about a ten-minute walk from JR Kainan Station. The venerable Japanese restaurant first opened in 1933 and has been even been covered in the media. In addition to private rooms, the restaurant also offers table seating and counter seating. The counter is especially popular with guests for its view of the courtyard. We also recommend their lunch menu, which allows guests to casually enjoy authentic kaiseki cuisine at reasonable prices.

    This Japanese seafood restaurant is located a three-minute drive from the Kibi Interchange on the Hanwa Expressway. The restaurant's cuisine is primarily made using seafood from the local Tatsugahama Fishing Port. The lunchtime Souen Teishoku meal is particularly popular and comes with tempura, sashimi and hawanmushi (steamed savory egg custard). For dinner, the restaurant serves ultra-fresh sushi, nitsuke stewed dishes, yakimono broiled dishes, and other cuisine fit for your evening meal, as well as an array of a la carte dishes perfect for snacking on together with a tasty alcoholic beverage. The establishment also offers desserts and is a place where you can enjoy extravagant seafood cuisine at reasonable prices.

    Soen is great value! The decor is distinctively Japanese and the food is tasty. Our meals were 930￥ each and there was a huge variety of delicious food.

    This reservation-only Japanese restaurant is situated on the bank of the Arida River. The restaurant only uses ingredients from Shimizu Town such as edible wild plants, river fish, and mushrooms. The content of the restaurant's signature Tsumikusa Kaiseki course meal vary depending on the season - Biwa trout in spring; sweetfish in summer; and, in autumn and winter, hunter's hotpot made with local chicken, deer, and wild boar. The handmade noodle meal comes with juwari soba noodles made with exclusively with buckwheat flour and no fillers. The restaurant serves a brown rice meal made with the same ancient brown rice variety Taira no Koremori is said to have eaten when he assumed the name Komatsu Yasuke and moved to Kamiyukawa in Shimizu Town.

    白浜旅行の行きに11:00開店と同時に入店しました。 開店のタイミングは少し込み合うようで少しだけ待ちました。 ま、他のスシローと変わりなく安定した内容だったと思います。

    新発売で気になっていたのでミートを注文しました！パテとオニオンフライは温かかったけどバンズが冷たかったです。厚みがあって美味しいバンズなので、とても残念。味は良かったですが、ケチャップとマヨネーズが挟まれていたので、何かソースに工夫があるともっと美味しいと思います。250円だとリピートはないです。

    元々はかーちゃん弁当でしたが今はオシャレな居酒屋になってます。地元の魚料理は新鮮で美味しいです。 ワインの品揃えも良いです。 お値段は少し高めで二人で15000円ぐらいでした。
