- Nara Yamatokoriyama-shi Konyamachi 23-1
- "Goldfish, one of Yamatokoriyama's specialty products, are believed to have been first cultivated in the area at the end of the Edo period by then- Koriyama Domain retainer Sato Sanzaemon. This shop crammed with Koriyama goldfish-themed accessories and knickknacks, items featuring designs inspired by the Buddhist temples of Koriyama, and other souvenirs and mementos. There's also a popular adjoining ""kingyo sukui"" goldfish scooping area where you can try this popular traditional game which involves scooping up real live goldfish using a precarious, disintegrating paper scoop."

発送もやっているので、贈り物に喜ばれます。 お寿司ですが、酢飯と柿の葉で包まれていて日持ちもします。 奈良名物として良いと思います。

- Nara Pref. Yamatokoriyamashi Asahimachi 4-18
- About three minutes on foot from Kintetsu Koriyama Station on Prefectural Route 144 is this pottery shop. The pottery produces Akahada-yaki, or Akahada ware, which originated from the kilns used at Mt. Gojo at the time when Toyotomi Hideyoshi’s brother, Toyotomi Hidenaga, was lord of Koriyama Castle. The name Akahada-yaki comes from the name of Mt. Gojo, otherwise known as Mt. Akahada. The pottery also holds classes for one person or more.

開運橋近くで営業していました。一寸した土産に便利な菓子類からブドウまで陳列されており、気になった「お焼き」を購入してみました。こしあん入のよもぎ焼餅で、アツアツ状態で食す事が出来ました。

Nara Areas
With a reputation almost as stellar as that of Kyoto, Nara is a must-visit for those searching for the remains of "traditional Japan." The largely green Nara city holds the majority of the prefecture’s treasures, such as the iconic Todai-ji Temple, in which a 15-meter tall Great Buddha sits, and Nara Park, where deer flock to befriend passersby. While mountains are by no means hard to come by in this area, for hiking with a reward, head to the Kii Mountains’ Yoshino district in spring, when the hillsides put on an impressive display of white and pink cherry blossoms.
