    This sake brewery located in 1 Chome, Tegara, Himeji City was established in 1910. Their fine Nadagiku brew and other products are renowned at home and abroad. They make their sake with carefully selected brewing rice grown in the prefecture, including Hyogo Yumenishiki, a special product of Nishiharima. You can visit their wooden sake storehouse that remains as it was when the brewery was founded, as well as view brewing equipment and panel displays on the modern sake making process. They hold tastings in their shop, and have a restaurant, too.

    This kamaboko fish cake factory is in Okimoto, Yumesaki-cho, Himeji City. They hold free regularly scheduled factory tours twice a day on weekdays and six times a day on Sundays and holidays. Tours give visitors the chance to watch the production process of their imitation crab meat production line and their chikuwa tube kamaboko line. They also have a program where you can try making chikuwa and kamaboko yourself with fresh fish paste (reservations required).

    This factory in Takasago is operated by Suntory, a company which makes and sells alcoholic beverages and soft drinks. Designed around the concepts of high quality, environmental friendliness, and environmental harmony, the factory engages in a variety of environmentally-conscious activities such as waste reduction and recycling initiatives. Camphor trees, the official tree of Hyogo Prefecture, have been planted at the factory site, and visitors may also freely stroll on the green grounds. With an advance reservation, you can go on a factory tour and see the production floor and sample Suntory beverages.

    A factory located a 10-minute drive from the Miki-higashi Interchange on the Sanyo Expressway. Visitors can tour the factory and see the Yakult's latest production lines producing products like the lactic acid beverage Yakult 400LT, inspection equipment, and quality control system. The factory offers tours even for individual visitors as well as groups (advance reservation required). Tours consist of an overview of the company; information of Yakult products; a tasting session which includes Yakult 400LT and other products made at the factory; a video; and, lastly, a tour of the factory itself.

    15 minutes from the Takino Yashiro Interchange on the Chugoku Expressway or the Miki-Ono Interchange on the Sanyo Expressway. This vast, 20 hectare farm is located in a hilly area in the center of the Banshu Plain. The farm keeps more than 100 head of Jersey cattle, and visitors can come any time and watch their free range grazing. In the farm's restaurant, Milkers, customers can enjoy an exquisite pudding made with fresh, Jersey cow milk; and vaunted pizzas with crispy crusts. The farm's first rate, fresh Jersey milk soft serve ice cream is so popular, lines of people waiting to get some form on weekends.

    This exhibition facility on a side road off of Route 312 in Fukusaki Town, Kanzaki County, Hyogo Prefecture deals with mochimugi barley. It's a chewier variety than ordinary barley and is grown in Fukusaki as a specialty product. They make their own noodles with flour stone ground the old-fashioned way at their on-site facility. You can watch the unique process from a viewing area, as well as video showcasing mochimugi at the exhibition corner. Their restaurant and shop have a variety of mochimugi dishes for you to try.
