The ruins of Sasayama Castle, flatland-mountain castle build on a small hill called Sasayama, located a 10-minute drive east from the Tannan Sasayamaguchi interchange on the Maizuru-Wakasa Expressway. The castle's moat, stone base, and base of keep still stand. Sasayama castle never had a keep, instead centering on a hall called the Oshoin, which was rebuilt in March 2000. Inside the hall, visitors can view informational panels on historic events which occurred in Sasayama Domain during the Edo period as well as models and other exhibits which provide information on what the castle and town beneath it once looked like as well as the different lords who ruled the area. The hall's theater room screens informational videos.

Located at the Manzen Intersection where Prefectural Route 12 meets Prefectural Route 68, this roadside station's parking lot can accommodate 100 vehicles. Their farm stand features produce brought in fresh every morning by Inagawa Town farmers. On Mondays and Thursdays, a group of them are available to chat with customers about their produce, ways to prepare it, and more. Buckwheat is an Inagawa Town specialty, and the restaurant serves soba noodles made with 100% buckwheat flour. They have sweets like soft serve ice cream made with soba tea and kine-tsuki (mochi pounding) mochi rice cakes too. Their monthly events showcase the produce of the season, and the venue gets packed with the locals.

A hot spring bathhouse located a 20-minute drive from the Tannan Sasayamaguchi interchange on the Maizuru-Wakasa Expressway. The bathhouse' hot spring wells up from 1,300 meters below ground in a stratum dating back 100 million years; its waters have a superb warming effect on the body. The alkaline simple mildly radioactive hot spring is used to fill the bathhouse' tubs, such as a rock bath made from Tamba stone, and a bathing area made with Tamba ware porcelain, including the indoor bath, outdoor bath, and even the floor. Each bathing area is separated into a large indoor bath area, source spring bath area, and large outdoor bath area.

This historic Shinto shrine founded in 970 has ties to Seiwa-Genji. One of the Three Genji Shrines, it honors Minamoto no Mitsunaka and has been designated a National Historic Site because of its pedigree. The shrine's treasure house holds the Minamoto Clan's Onikiri-maru sword, as well as armor and ancient documents. The grounds also feature rare camellia varieties like Camellia reticulata and Camellia japonica that are a sight to behold when in bloom. Visitors pack in for April's Genji Festival featuring a parade of samurai and other historical figures connected to the Genji clan in period dress, such as Tomoe Gozen and Shizuka Gozen. You can reach the shrine by walking west from Tada Station on the Nose Electric Railway's Myoken Line for about 15 minutes.

This temple is located about 10 minutes by car from the Maizuru Expressway's Kasuga Interchange. Founded by the monk Hodo in 705, the principal object of worship is a hidden hibutsu image brought from India of Yakushi Ruriko Nyorai. The temple was destroyed by fire during Akechi Mitsuhide's attack on Tamba but was rebuilt in the late 1500s. Along with cherries and azaleas, the temple features a wisteria variety known as kyushaku-fuji with clusters reaching as long as 180 centimeters. They spread along a 120-meter wisteria trellis that's a sight to behold when in full bloom. They exhibit bones and other fossils of dinosaurs and more excavated from the Sasayama group in Tamba City. This includes a complete skeleton of a Tambatitanis, the largest herbivore to have inhabited Japan, and you can only see it here. Their exhibit that recreates an excavation site displays the tools that are actually used by paleontologists. Other workshops include making dinosaur figures and cleaning real fossils. This art museum is located in Tamba-Sasayama City, Hyogo Prefecture. In order to preserve Japan's oldest wooden court as an important structure, the exterior and old court were left as it, and the rest was remodeled as an art museum. In addition to works of art such as armor related to the old castle town of Tamba-Sasayama, lacquer art and paintings, there are also a number of famous items that were made from Sasayama Domain kilns at the end of the Edo period, and buried cultural properties that tell the culture of the Sasayama region since ancient times are on display. You can enjoy various artworks as well as precious Meiji period (1868-1912) architecture.

The first floor features a planetarium with explanations of seasonal stars as well as programs where they project interstellar images taken by the telescope. "This history museum operates out of a remodeled samurai residence built sometime after 1830. Used as a home by the Anma family for generations, the museum displays historical documents and everyday tableware left behind by the Anma. Granted a stipend of 12 ""koku"" and three ""fuchi,"" the Anma were one of the families who were vassals of the Aoyama clan, a family whose members served as hereditary lords of the bygone Sasayama Domain. The residence' magariya-style main building and tile roofed dozo storehouse still stand today, giving us an idea of the kind of lifestyle samurai families at the time lived. The museum also displays arms and armor, and other historical artefacts connected to Sasayama Domain, and visitors can come in contact with the history and ways of life of the area. In 1994, the museum building was designated a Cultural Property by Sasayama City."

Founded by the Zen priest Enkei Soyu in 1325 during the Kamakura period, it was given the name Kogenji by Emperor Godaigo in 1326. It's the head temple of the Rinzai school of Zen's Chuho lineage. It was called ""Nishi Tenmoku,"" as opposed to the Kai District's Seiunji Temple which was called ""Higashi Tenmoku,"" making it Tamba's most prominent temple. It's also known as the Tenmoku Kaede Temple after its Tenmoku kaede maples that are characterized by smaller leaves and drooping branches.
