This well-established steak house that is located a three-minute walk from Sannomiya was founded in 1885. Ever since then they have been particular about the quality of their meat, and they also have good quality, thoroughly marbled Kobe beef on hand. The soft steak that has a texture which almost seems to melt in one's mouth is an exquisite masterpiece that allows the diner to thoroughly enjoy the umami flavor of the premium meat. The lunch options that allow guests to enjoy Kobe beef and other carefully selected beef at reasonable prices are popular. With its classy yet relaxed atmosphere, many patrons use this restaurant for anniversaries or special occasions.

I know there are several steak restuarants in Kobe and it might be worth trying something different but this place was amazing. The chef put on quite the show and knew exactly what we wanted. All...

"This bakery and cafe is located in the Ikuta-cho, Chuo-ku, Kobe City. It was founded in 1924 by a German husband and Japanese wife team who popularized German bread in Japan, and were also the inspiration for the NHK serial television drama ""Kazamidori."" The bakery continues to bake not only German bread in a brick oven, but also cookies, pound cakes and other baked sweets, while the adjacent cafe serves sandwiches made with freshly baked bread, coffee and sweets."

While the food is good and the atmosphere pleasent, its not anything /too/ unusual or impressive. The church is great for the aesthetics, the cakes and sandwiches are wonderfully presented, but its...

This is a buta-manju (steamed pork bun) specialist shop established in 1915 in Kobe’s Nankinmachi Chinatown. It is known as the originator of the “buta-manju” and “buta-man,” created when the founders brought the Chinese “tenshin-pozu” to Japan and adapted for Japanese tastes. Fluffy dough overflowing with meat juices, the bun is a Nankinmachi Chinatown favorite with consistent queues to get one. Aside from takeout, there is also an eat-in space available. The nearest station is Motomachi Station.

Soft, flaky pastry around a very salty pork. I wish I could eat these every meal. Or at least every football game drinking beer.

"A handmade hamburger shop. Dedicated to the concept of creating burgers which nobody would call ""junk food,"" the restaurant serves handmade, additive free burgers. Customers can choose between two varieties of beef patties-Japanese black beef and Kobe beef. In addition to standard toppings like cheese, bacon, fried eggs, and avocados, the restaurant also offers homemade chili beans and blue cheese. There's also a stunning burger on the menu which consists of a Kobe beef patty topped with sliced Kobe beef steak."

A steakhouse located in Kitanagasa-dori 1-Chome, Chuo Ward, Kobe City. "The flagship location of Juchheim, a renowned confectionary shop which has been in business for over 100 years. The first-floor shop sells the company's confections for taking home and is also one of only a very few locations where you can directly purchase Juchheim's ""Meister handmade"" baumkuchen. In the tea salon on the second floor, customers can enjoy a confection or gelato along with a cup of black tea. The restaurant in the basement serves Kobe-style Western dishes and German wines."

This is an old teppan-yaki restaurant established in 1945 in Chuo Ward, Kobe City, Hyogo Prefecture. As a famous restaurant said to be the originator of the teppan-yaki steak, they have maintained the same flavor from establishment until now. As for beef, they use only A4/A5 rank Japanese Black beef from Kobe and elsewhere. The steak, prepared before customers’ eyes on the iron plate at their table, has a rich melt-in-your-mouth flavor. Seasonal vegetables and the tender lobster are also popular options. From the glass-sided interior one can look out over the Kobe nighttime scenery, and is therefore used often for anniversaries and dinner events.

This long-standing Chinese restaurant is across from the Daimaru Kobe, a three-minute walk from Motomachi Station. It offers authentic Chinese cuisine while adapting tastes to suit the locals’ preferences, or as it puts it, “Guangdong cuisine born in Guangdong Province and raised in Kobe.” There are approximately 100 dishes available prepared using a variety of seasonings, including homemade oyster sauce made using persimmon extract from Hiroshima. In addition to staples chow mein and fried rice, there are also dishes such as fried shark fin as well as course meals. The restaurant interior is spacious and has a relaxed atmosphere, and there are private rooms as well.

Here diners can enjoy superb steaks grilled right before their eyes in a classy stone and wood atmosphere. The restaurant takes great pride in the quality of its meat; in order to more fully enjoy the innate flavor of the meat, diners are encouraged to take the first bite with just a little bit of Ako salt. The restaurant's ""Anniversary Plan"" is perfect for a special occasion and comes with singled out sirloin and tenderloin steak as well as wine.
