This stylish café lies just beyond an entrance surrounded by trees and is based on the concept of “light, wind, and greenery.” The calming, three-floor interior offers views of lush greenery and will make you feel like you’ve stumbled upon a house hidden deep within the forest. In addition to pasta, rice omelets, and other lunch dishes, sweets, various other food items, and alcohol are available as well. You can enjoy both lunch and a pleasant drink at your leisure. In the garden is the house of the café’s mascot dog, “Torakichi.” The closest station is Sannomiya Station.

Lounge chairs and greenery in front of your place filling with the lights down and some atmospheric music Sometimes you’ve to wait to take a place. Pretty cozy place so its popular for people

"A restaurant adjoining the JA Tambasasayama Nishiki Ikubyo Center in Sasayama City, Hyogo Prefecture. Facility grows and passes on the knowledge needed to cultivate Tamba Sasayama black soybeans, a variety of black soybean practically essential for New Year's meals in Japan which is the largest in the country and which originated in this area. The restaurant offers a popular ""country style"" buffet consisting of a variety of Japanese rural area-style dishes made by hand using Tamba Sasayama black soybeans and other ingredients from local farms (the buffet is not open while the Sasyama Tezukuri-ichi handmade craft fair is open on the 11th of each month). Visitors can also purchase the restaurant's own plump, tasty kuromame-ni stewed black soybeans in the facility's local specialty products market."

A restaurant which serves old fashioned Japanese cuisine prepared around a traditional irori sunken hearth located a 20-minute drive from the Tannan Sasayamaguchi interchange on the Maizuru-Wakasa Expressway. Inside the old fashioned Japanese home-style restaurant, surrounded by abundant natural beauty, diners can sit on a heated floor around an irori hearth and enjoy Hyogo-Ajidori chicken, a variety developed in Hyogo Prefecture; Japanese black beef; and Sasayama beef barbecue and sukiyaki; as well as biwa trout roasted with salt on bamboo skewers and Hyogo-Ajidori chicken miso nabe hotpot (reservation required; parties must consist of at least two people).A particular draw is the restaurant's rich array of mountain foods, such as the seasonal botan nabe boar meat hotpot and the Sasayama beef and Tamba Sasayama matsutake mushroom sukiyaki.

It’s not the easiest to find but worth the drive if you staying at Tamba Sasayama area. The hotpot is done and eaten in very traditional Japanese way. The boar is the must eat in Sasayama and Tamba...

A restaurant located a three-minute walk from JR Aino Station on the Fukuchiyama Line. Owned and operated by Niku no Maruse, a meat company which carries Sanda Maruse beef (Sanda beef) raised on its own farms, the restaurant is notable for cooking and serving many of its dishes on plates made of lava stone from an active volcano. These plates generate an abundance of far infrared rays, which aids in retaining the innate flavor of meat. The restaurant offers a variety of primarily beef dishes, including steaks, sauteed shabushabu, and sukiyaki, and all of the restaurant's sauces are homemade. The lava stone sauteed steak, which can be cooked to your preferred level of doneness, is particularly recommended.

BACKEREI BIOBROT is a popular bakery not only with local residents but also with people from far and wide, so much so that oftentimes they are sold out by early afternoon. Here you can get some healthy, safe and great tasting bread which is made with 100% organic whole grain flour hand-made on a stone mill. All other ingredients are mostly organic and additives are not used at all. It is about eight minutes on foot from JR Ashiya Station and about nine minutes on foot from the Hanshin Electric Railway Uchide Station.

On the Naruo-Mikage line of high-level restaurants, this bakery always has a long queue. It offers hard, savoury German-style bread. The Sonnenblumen Kernblut with sunflower seeds kneaded into the...

This “suji tamadon” (rice bowl with sinewy meat and egg) specialty restaurant is on the first basement floor of “Sannomiya Center Plaza Nishikan” in Chuo Ward, Kobe City, Hyogo Prefecture. It is a famous restaurant that has been featured on TV and in magazines several times, and there’s always a line during peak hours. The main attraction is the “suji tamadon,” which features sinewy domestic beef with lots of collagen simmered in a salty-sweet sauce made using a secret recipe, with a fluffy egg on top for a dish with a truly homemade taste. The unique combination of the rice soaked with salty-sweet beef sinew and sauce is sure to make you crave more. There are only eight counter seats available.

"A pork bun specialty shop at Nankinmachi Square. Look for the bright red curtain. Their superb buns are modeled after the baozi buns made by Roushouki, the Nankinmachi pork bun shop where ""handmade, fresh-baked buns"" is their motto. This shop mainly offers takeout, so you can enjoy the tastiness of the buns' shiitake mushrooms and juicy meat on the go. There are some table seats inside the shop with its mainland Asian atmosphere, so you can enjoy the steamed buns there too."

Hyogo Areas

around-area-map

Hyogo prefecture stretches from the north coast to the south coast on the western end of the popular Kansai region, encompassing verdant mountains, urban beaches, and fantastic historical sights. The prefecture’s main attractions lie along the south coast at Kobe, the prefectural capital, a pretty harbor city best known for its production of the renowned Kobe beef, and Himeji, the home of Himeji Castle, one of the country’s most beautifully preserved feudal castles, perched magically atop a hill.
