"A Western confectionary shop located a 10-minute drive from JR Shin-Sanda Station on the Fukuchiyama Line. The shop's most popular item is the ""Koyama Roll,"" a roll cake which was created during the grand champion tournament on TV Tokyo's ""TV Champion."" Created based on the idea that ""simple is best,"" the cake consists of rich whipped cream mixed with a touch of custard and wrapped in a carefully air-fluffed sponge cake. This tasty treat is further accented with a mildly sweet chestnut compote. The shop also offers other select Western-style sweets lovingly crafted by the shop's chef such as baumkuchen."

This Japanese-style confectionery is about eight minutes on foot from JR Fukuchiyama Line's Kaibara Station. The renovated thatched roof shop is housed in the former residence of an Oda clan vassal that was built over 150 years ago. Their cafe offers cake, pastries, and meals featuring local Tamba ingredients, and has a prominent wood-fired oven. The popular lunch set comes with a juicy roasted meat dish, and a roti or a pizza of your choice. Their Tamba Satoyama Pudding made with locally produced eggs and milk comes recommended.

This stylish café lies just beyond an entrance surrounded by trees and is based on the concept of “light, wind, and greenery.” The calming, three-floor interior offers views of lush greenery and will make you feel like you’ve stumbled upon a house hidden deep within the forest. In addition to pasta, rice omelets, and other lunch dishes, sweets, various other food items, and alcohol are available as well. You can enjoy both lunch and a pleasant drink at your leisure. In the garden is the house of the café’s mascot dog, “Torakichi.” The closest station is Sannomiya Station.

This venerable Japanese confectionary shop established in 1882 can be easily identified by its large watchtower-like sign. It continues to create healthy traditional Japanese sweets that never wear out their welcome. Their flagship Toyosuke Manju steamed buns feature a simple Kyoto-style strained bean paste filling inside of an extra-thin pastry covering. The confection first came to prominence after becoming popular with the hot spring cure-seekers who visited Ogo, which prospered as a post town on a byroad of the Saigoku Kaido Highway. The shop makes the manju several times per day out of a desire to hand customers the freshest product possible. Customers can enjoy freshly-made manju together with complementary tea inside the shop's rest space.

Facility grows and passes on the knowledge needed to cultivate Tamba Sasayama black soybeans, a variety of black soybean practically essential for New Year's meals in Japan which is the largest in the country and which originated in this area. The restaurant offers a popular ""country style"" buffet consisting of a variety of Japanese rural area-style dishes made by hand using Tamba Sasayama black soybeans and other ingredients from local farms (the buffet is not open while the Sasyama Tezukuri-ichi handmade craft fair is open on the 11th of each month). Visitors can also purchase the restaurant's own plump, tasty kuromame-ni stewed black soybeans in the facility's local specialty products market."

A restaurant which serves old fashioned Japanese cuisine prepared around a traditional irori sunken hearth located a 20-minute drive from the Tannan Sasayamaguchi interchange on the Maizuru-Wakasa Expressway. Inside the old fashioned Japanese home-style restaurant, surrounded by abundant natural beauty, diners can sit on a heated floor around an irori hearth and enjoy Hyogo-Ajidori chicken, a variety developed in Hyogo Prefecture; Japanese black beef; and Sasayama beef barbecue and sukiyaki; as well as biwa trout roasted with salt on bamboo skewers and Hyogo-Ajidori chicken miso nabe hotpot (reservation required; parties must consist of at least two people).A particular draw is the restaurant's rich array of mountain foods, such as the seasonal botan nabe boar meat hotpot and the Sasayama beef and Tamba Sasayama matsutake mushroom sukiyaki.

This is a cheese and cheesecake specialist in Chuo Ward, Kobe City, Hyogo Prefecture, and in its simple modern Western-style interior is enshrined a statue of Kannon. The Denmark cheesecake, long loved in the streets of Kobe, is a blend of raw cheese said to come from the oldest recipe. Each one is an exquisite masterpiece, boasting a fresh-baked texture and rich-bodied flavor. The alcohol-free mild cheese fondue is also popular, with flavors including curry and basil. The cheesecake is also available for takeout.

The talented second-generation proprietor is the first Kobe baker to be certified a Kobe Master by the city. To maintain the flavor of the ingredients, they do everything at the shop from scratch, including kneading and fermenting the dough and baking the bread. Their ""Hard Yamashoku"" loaf with its crispy yet chewy texture has won the Prime Minister's Award at the National Confectionery Exposition."

"A Western confectionary shop located in the Piazza Kobe underground shopping mall close to JR Sannomiya Station. An orthodox cake shop, its display cases are filled with lovingly crafted, colorful cakes and tarts. Particularly popular is the shop's slightly unusual take on Mont Blanc, which consists of meringue in place of chestnut cream piled high in a cone shape and lightly toasted with a burner. This confection was featured on the Nagoya Broadcasting Network television program ""Udo-chan no Tabishite Gomen."""

Hyogo prefecture stretches from the north coast to the south coast on the western end of the popular Kansai region, encompassing verdant mountains, urban beaches, and fantastic historical sights.
