This park in Sakai City is located 15 minutes' walk from Mozu Station, near the mausoleum of Emperor Nintoku. This heavily symbolic park is steeped in nature and history. Within the park are open greens, a gourd-shaped pond, children forest, museum, tea house, Japanese gardens and many other fascinating places to visit. The park was selected to be included in Japan's top 100 historical parks list. Near the gourd-shaped pond, approximately 400 various types of cherry tree have been planted, including Yoshino cherry trees and Oshima cherry trees. When in full bloom, the whole area is painted a beautiful florid pink. The park's hill and pond circuit-style garden is also a popular place for locals to relax.

This agricultural park opened in Sakai City, Osaka Prefecture in 2000 and is focused on providing agricultural experiences to visitors. The site is large enough to fit eight Koshien Stadiums, and gorgeous rape blossoms and cosmoses bloom along with other seasonal flowers. Visitors can enjoy a shepherd dog show, horseback riding, cow milking, a petting zoo, and several other offerings. There’s also a grass ski slope, bicycles built for entertainment, and various areas perfect for moving your body, making it popular with families. There’s even a classroom for making sausages and handmade bread.

This seaside park stretches out across the coast opposite Kansai International Airport. The park itself is divided into two areas, Symbol Garden and Seaside Garden. On the Symbol Garden side, there are rock gardens with seasonal flowers and an inland sea cove. The inland sea cove is especially popular with children, as they can touch the sea water there, so parents often visit it with their children. On the Seaside Garden side, the main attraction is the long pebble covered marble beach. This museum is located in Daisen Park, just 500 meters from the JR Hanwa Line's Mozu Station. The museum was opened in 1980, as a memorial project for the city's 90th anniversary. Many items pertaining to Sakai City's history, art and customs are preserved displayed in the museum's permanent exhibition, including reproductions of a map of Emperor Nintoku's stone mausoleum and a terracotta unearthed from Emperor Nintoku's tomb in the Kofun / Nintoku Tomb exhibition, and a model of the city of Sakai and a Sakai (matchlock) gun in the Free City Sakai exhibition.

This museum is dedicated to land development history, with the dyke and unearthed cultural assets from Japan's oldest dammed reservoir, the historic Sayamaike. The dam was designed by architect Tadao Ando. The first thing to draw visitors' eyes is the permanent exhibition of a cross section of the dyke, which was created using the Shikiha koho method of construction, in the Asuka period. A 15-meter high and 60-meter wide section of the dyke was reconstructed for the exhibition, so the stratum of 1,400 years since the dyke's construction can be clearly seen. A place of lifelong learning, there are also many special exhibits and items of interest in the museum.

This general public park is in the hilly area of Sangayama Town, Kishiwada City, Osaka Prefecture. It contains lush green and various areas for the enjoyment of kids and adults alike. There’s “Tonbo no Yugu” (Dragonfly’s Playground), which features 45 different types of play structures, which makes it popular for both small children and older children. There are plenty of spots where you can enjoy nature, such as the “Rose Garden” that blooms with over 2,300 roses in spring and fall, the “Fall Foliage Valley” boasts stunning leaf colors in the autumn, and a big lake with birds swimming in it. Complete with large grassy fields and plains, this is a great spot for a family picnic.

This seaside park is in Sawa, Kaizuka City, Osaka Prefecture and contains Nishikinohama Beach Park, a popular Osaka sea bathing spot. The blue sea, sand, and pine forest are gorgeous, and many visitors come to enjoy the one-kilometer stretch of beach. Surrounding a monument shaped like a sailboat mast is a sports field and several play structures, while the east side of the park has tennis courts and a baseball field. The “cherry blossom viewing hill” is covered in cherry blossoms in spring, and there are zones where you can enjoy seasonal blooms as well. Families can enjoy the day here.

This museum is approximately a 13-minute walk from the Nankai Line's Kishiwada Station. You can learn all about the Kishiwada Danjiri festival at this facility. Actual items used in the Danjiri festival are exhibited in the event hall on the second floor, and every hour, there is a screening of the Danjiri festival on the 27-screen display. Also exhibited here, are things such as the Old Kamiyacho, which was made in 1842 and retired in 1990. In the experience corner on the fourth floor, you can experience what you feel like to ride on the top of Danjiri big roof, which is just like the stage star and often a carpenter does the role, and the exciting Danjiri-bayashi, with the great Taiko drums and small Taiko drums.

These portable shrines are drawn along by columns of young men during festival days. I saw such a parade in 2013.

This is an art museum exhibiting many Oriental antiques such as paintings, calligraphic works and handicrafts from Japan and China, located approximately three minutes from Kishiwada-Izumi Interchange. A cultural facility containing colorful gardens and flower-focused offerings, the Osaka Garden of Floral Culture is located in Kawachinagano City, Osaka Prefecture. You’ll find a rose garden with approximately 300 species of plants and 1,500 specimens as well as a clematis garden with about 300 species and over 600 specimens. There are also peonies, Chinese peonies, plum blossoms, hydrangeas, and many other types of flowers that can be seen regardless of season. There’s also a pyramid-shaped greenhouse that’s one of the largest in the country and houses plants from all over the world, such as cacti and orchids. This is the only museum in the country dealing with documents and information on Yayoi culture, located approximately 600 meters from Shinodayama Station on the JR Hanwa Line. There are two permanent exhibition rooms displaying Yayoi culture to see and documents regarding the Ikegami Sone ruins, The World of Ikegami Sone. Visitors can experience Yayoi culture through authentic material, replica and video as well as enjoy learning about themes such as rice making, innovative technology, and a statue of Himiko holding a mirror. A wide variety of exhibitions including seasonal special exhibitions and archeology seminars are also held.

2020/1/31（金）仕事の取引先を関空に送り届けた後、和歌山へ向けてドライブしている途中、トイレ休憩に立ち寄りました。入場料がたしか600円ほどで、トイレ休憩にしては高過ぎるのですが、海水浴場があり、BBQなどの設備が整っています。夏場に家族で半日遊びに来ることを考えると格安と思います。

It has a forest area with approximately 320,000 trees of 200 different varieties, and is particularly famous for its landscaped garden with 10,000 stocks of 15 varieties of Japanese irises, making this park chosen as one of the 100 Selections of Osaka Green. At the center of the park is a green grassy area with a large pond, surrounded by a garden, three children play areas, a motocross field used exclusively for BMX competitions, a barbecue plaza, sports facilities, and more, making this a great spot for people to gather throughout the year. This is a large historical park next to the Chikatsu Asuka Museum. It was established to preserve and maintain the Ichisuka tumulus cluster, a group of tombs representative of Japan, as well as a place to learn about, become familiar with and interact with valuable cultural assets. Visitors are able to enter 40 of the 102 tombs within the park. The park, 29 hectares in size, is also a flower viewing spot where plum and cherry blossoms can be enjoyed in season and visitors can overlook the park from two observation platforms in the park. Both are marked on the garden guide map as perfect picnic spots.

This theme park is just a short walk from the Hanwa Line's Yamanakadani Station. The main attraction of this park is the incredible 100-meter long Roller Express. The ride ends in the mouth of a dinosaur, and you can hear it roar as you slide down this impressive attraction. There is also an athletic course and an observation deck, among other things. Visitors especially love the views of Kansai International Airport and Osaka Bay from the observation deck. Also within the theme park is a barbeque area, which is always bustling with families on their days off.

なかなか立派な施設で、子供連れの家族で賑わっていました。入場無料で、これだけの施設を維持管理するのは、大変だと思いました。

The park has been selected as one of 100 historical parks in Japan. Sayama-ike is the oldest reservoir in Japan, and after being renovated as a park is now visited by many visitors in the spring as a place to view cherry blossoms. There are approximately 1,400 cherry trees planted around the pond and amongst them the early blooming Koshino cherry trees begin to blossom towards the end of March and are the earliest cherry blossoms in Osaka. The double flowering cherry blossoms begin in mid-April and the cherry blossom season can be enjoyed for a long period of time. There is also a walking path around Sayama Pond offering beautiful views, which is used for strolls and as a walking course and is also a place for the locals to relax.
