Osaka Osakashi Chuou-ku Souemonchou 7-13 Taehwaemon Bridge Pier
Tonbori River Cruise is a sightseeing cruise boat which tours the Dotonbori River, one of the famous attractions in Osaka. It departs from Tazaemonbashi Wharf in front of the Don Quijote Dotonbori branch and goes under nine bridges while you see the sights of the Minami area of Osaka. During the tour, there are many good places for commemorative photos such as a gigantic octopus sign as well as a Glico man sign. The light-hearted talk by the guide is also one of the enjoyments. As the short trip requires only about 20 minutes, you can easily board when you have time to spare while sightseeing or on a date. The closest station is Namba Station.

While walking around Osaka, I came across this river cruise. I came booked a ticket and got on the boat. There was a commentator on the boat, but it was only in Japanese, so I didnt understand...

    Osaka Osakashi Minato-ku Kaigandori 1-1-10
A tour cruise ship operating in the bay area in Minato Ward, Osaka City, Osaka Prefecture. The ship’s dock is located near the Tempozan Harbor Village mall and Osaka Aquarium Kaiyukan. Modeled after the Santa Maria, Columbus’ flagship when he set sail to journey around the world, this sailing vessel, popular with children, is about two times the size of the original. During their journey, riders can enjoy views of bay area sights like Maishima and Universal Studios Japan. The twilight cruise (reservation required), which sets off with the setting sun, is particularly popular.

We took the sunset cruise and had a great experience and view of the Osaka har our during sunset. It’s free with Osaka Pass.

    Osaka Osaka-shi Minato-ku Chikko 3-2-25
This ferry terminal is located in 3-Chome Chikko, Minato Ward, Osaka City. Opened in 1905, it is one of the few ferry terminals still remaining in Osaka. A free ferry connects this terminal to the terminal in 3-Chome Sakurajima, Konohana Ward, Osaka City some 400 meters away via a three-minute ride; this same ferry can also be used as a way to get to and from Universal Studios Japan in 2-Chome Sakurajima, Konohana Ward, Osaka City.

Bonus its free. It does provide an easy access to USJ, but we prefer to take the train ride once we crossed the river. its a good 15-20 min walk from the pier i assume. runs every hour during the day...

Osaka Osakashi Naniwa-ku Minatomachi 1-3-1 Minatomachi Pier
This is a sightseeing cruise travelling around Osaka City departing from the Minatomachi Wharf neighboring “Minatomachi River Place” in Naniwa Ward, Osaka City, Osaka Prefecture, lasting approximately 90 minutes. Listening to a young Rakugo performer (comic story-teller) speaking joyfully of the history and sights in the area is a popular activity for tourists. On the “River Circuit Course,” tourists can enjoy many unique sights of Osaka such as the Dotonbori River, the Toyoko Horikawa Flood Gate, Kyocera Dome Osaka, Nakanoshima dotted with retro buildings, and the downtown area of Dotonbori. Visitors who make advance reservations can also taste a lunch-box packed with tastes of Osaka “Naniwa Water City Gozen.”

While Osaka prefecture is the country's second smallest prefecture, its capital, Osaka City, is the country’s third-largest and arguably one of the most popular in the Kansai region thanks to its vibrant nightlife, the Osaka people’s openness, and its much-loved cuisine, which has earned it the nickname "the nation’s kitchen."
