This park on Mt. Satsuki approx. a 10-minute walk from Hanyu Ikeda Station. Located in the center of the city, it is famous as the Hokusetsu region's leading spot for cherry trees, azaleas and autumn leaves, and was chosen as one of Osaka's top 100 green landscapes. There are hiking courses and observatories, and also Hirado azaleas, Mochi azaleas and Kobanomitsuba azaleas, making it a place where many people come to see flowers in all seasons. A cherry blossom festival is held here in early April. In addition, you can see from Mt. Satsuki's Shubodai wonderful night views and even the lit up Big Harp, a bridge that spans the Inagawa River.

We didn’t get to see it because it wasn’t open. This was not clear from the website which said it was open on weekends.

While Osaka prefecture is the country's second smallest prefecture, its capital, Osaka City, is the country’s third-largest and arguably one of the most popular in the Kansai region thanks to its vibrant nightlife, the Osaka people’s openness, and its much-loved cuisine, which has earned it the nickname "the nation’s kitchen."
